Also, as far as Schlauderaff, there hasn't been any "official" reference at all that indicates the Packers will get a 7th round pick in this draft for him. That is purely speculation on my part. They might not get a pick at all. They might get a pick but it might not be until the 2013 draft (or later). They might get a pick for him this year that's higher than a seventh round pick. Unfortunately we probably won't know for sure until the NFL releases the full 7-round draft order.

Maybe speculation on your part... not Thompson's.

By the way, Ted Thompson did confirm that the #Packers indeed got a 7th round pick from the @NYJets for Caleb Schlauderaff.
Some of the Pack's compensatory picks over time:

~Marco Rivera (sixth round, 1996)
~Tyrone Williams (third round, 1996)
~Matt Hasselbeck (sixth round, 1998)
~Aaron Brooks (fourth round, 1999)
~Josh Bidwell (fourth round, 1999)
~Scott Wells (seventh round, 2004)
~Josh Sitton (fourth round, 2008)
~Marshall Newhouse (fifth round, 2010)

Wow, some quality picks since the compensatory system was put into place in 1994(per GBPG)!!
Two words: Randall Cobb. Two more: Nick Collins. Colledge was worth a 2. So was Terence Murphy. They couldn't have known that he had a narrow spine. B-Jax was worth a 2. And I don't care what anyone says....Brohm was value where he was. He didn't pan out, but that is life. If I'm scoring, that's 7 or 8 worth the pick... and only 2 or 3 not (I count Brohm as a good pick for what was known at the time).

I'm curious how Thompson compares to others in the second round. My guess is very favorably when names like Collins, Jennings, Jordy, and Cobb begin the discussion.

And as Smedley pointed out, there might be a pick coming for Quinn Johnson too. I'm guessing no but I thought Jenkins' contract would only return a fifth round pick and I was wrong on that one, so maybe there will be another pleasant surprise and Quinn Johnson will net another selection.

No pick due for Johnson. While I don't recall the exact details, the conditional pick in QJohnson's trade was contingent on him being on the roster for more than the first 4-5 wks of the season (or something like that); he was cut the week before the pick would've been due IIRC.
