It's all over the media today and I can hardly believe it isn't being discussed on this board.  I, for one, don't think this would be a good thing.  The NFL is changing drastically before our very eyes.

What do you think about Rice as the next NFL commissioner?

Scouting Report:

Nice bubble, but not enough sand in her britches

Good lateral agility, but really struggles going to her Left

Needs time in the weight room, but is tenacious at the point of attack

More quick than fast, she knows how to get separation

NFL coaches may want to try her in the spread, but her future is likely at tight end.

HOF lips and flexible hips; football smarts and scored impressively on the Wonderlic

Ability to woo sponsors no longer dependent on Bush, Rice is a solid candidate

....and Jerruh thinks she's hot

Geezus H. Kryst, she mentions once she'd like to be commissioner and cult of personality kicks in.

The American public and media have become sooooooo shallow. She has no idea what it takes to be a football player. To play a tough game in a sissified nanny-state world. All we need is for Professional Football to get Oprahed. PC Buttdell is bad enough. I hardly recognized the game anymore. So many GD rule changes the game is going to take 6 hours eventually.

Ease up Lothar

This isnt about a commish looking to softening play on the field. This is about finding someone strong enough to tell the owners to smarten the **** up. Fast. Because those 31 money grabbing pricks with zero social smarts are killing football. They have a zero collective leadership ability to do the right thing.

Rice is a good choice. She may not know **** about football but football isn't footballs biggest problem.  A total lack of leadership is footballs biggest problem. She'll stop dumb****s from ****ing up the game. And stay out out of the way to let football be football.

The only way Rog is out is if sponsors like Budweiser shake him out of his tree. Rog has the inner circle including owners like Kraft and Jerruh in full support of him. That's what matters.

The Mark Murphy's of the NFL don't wield the power the "big 8" do so it won't matter what they think.

Unless the right sponsors dump the NFL, Rog ain't goin' nowhere.

I agree.  Look at how much the grandstanding bastards in Washington have tried to make the Redskins change their name, and it still hasn't happened.

And let me add, the reason Rog works well with the owners is because he doesn't poke sticks in the cages of the owners who matter. He is precisely what they want. Tough looking no nonsense to the union, but will cave like a house of cards when a-hole owners like Jerruh or Synder puff out their chests out and order him to his knees. Which he does, mouth open.

You honestly think these same owners would concede giving up that power to a black, intelligent take-no-schit woman who won't put up with their bullschit?

Yeah right.

Ego and greed my friends. It's what will take down this sport. And no way Rice is getting in the way of that.

Have you actually reviewed her performance level in her previous public positions?  If so, I don't know how you could say that.

Roger has been good for business so I doubt the owners will dump him. He works for them and he's doing their bidding right now.

On the flip side, if Goodell being commissioner is bring negative attention to the NFL and they are losing fans/sponsors then I could see the owners betraying him for the good publicity. They took a moral stand and tossed out the guy who was bringing shame to the NFL.

Totally disagree. What has she ever done to show she was a strong woman/leader? Does fetching coffee for, and being a sycophant of Bush & Cheney make her a "strong leader"?

Oh and what makes her smarter than other candidates, because she went to Notre Dame? So did Regis Philben, maybe we should make him the general counsel for the NFL.

**** her.

**** her.

A simple, "I respectfully disagree with your viewpoint" would have been fine.

She is also elusive, fast in open spaces, but has no balls going over the middle.
