I'm sure he feels real good with many of his recruits being a part of the big upset over number 1 'Bama (on the road no less). I know Johnny Football is a frosh but they have some nice playmakers. That tall sophomore WR Evans looks like Packer People.

Thank you A&M! Pretty much guaranteed the Cats are gonna get a shot at the championship if they win out!
If we win at Baylor next week the game vs. Texas in Manhattan in 3 weeks is gonna be a friggin' zoo! Might be one of the few times my wife doesn't complain about being cold at a late season game.
That's a fun team to watch. I chuckled/was irked when the announcers kept talking about A&M's troubling penchant for blowing leads last year. Shocking - I don't remember a Shermy team ever folding like that when GB lost momentum. Those were usually the games when people would rationalize it by saying that 'they played hard'.

Shermy. Perhaps NOW he's found his niche as an OC - nothing against the guy personally - just an absolutely average-at-best coach.

Six years later, and still dumdums are trying to sell him as some great coach who never got his chance.

I never thought he was a bad coach (head or coordinator) but he was as bad as it gets when it came to talent evaluation. That was his downfall, not an inability to coach. He had his flaws but it's common for a first time coach to struggle in his first stop and then improve at his next stop. I was always surprised he never got a shot in the NFL after his time with the Packers, but maybe his work with Tannehill and the Miami offense will give him another shot at head coach (if he can keep it up for another year or two).
I never said BAD coach. I said average coach. He was also terrible at managing the game. How many times did he blow big decisions from the sideline? He had the same problem at A&M - he'd gag and his team would gag. This 'he was a really good coach' butbutbut meme is old - he's NOT a really good head coach - he's proven that - twice and on two levels.

He knows WTF he's doing when coaching an OL and running an offense. Beyond that he stinks. He can do a couple of things really well and he's lousy at a couple of others - that = average, mediocre head coach, and his results tend to bear that out.

Absolutely. Great position coach/average OC but after watching those defenses for so long (which is saying a lot considering where the defense is now) I wouldn't want Shermy making HC decisions.
