Their numbers were not sexy--6 catches for 57 yards--but I just felt something different just having Martellus Bennett and Lance Kendricks out there on the field today. I've watched guys like Drew Brees and Tom Brady have absolute stud tight ends, and oh, how I've longed to have one in Green Bay for Aaron Rodgers. Now, we have two. Bennett and Kendricks combined for 105 catches, 1,200 yards and 9 TD last season, and what they bring to this offense will be just huge. They give us an exceptional presence in the middle of the field, and I really think our receivers (who are all healthy to start the season for the first time in forever, by the way) are going to benefit outside.

Let's say Bryan Bulaga gets healthy, and stays that way for the remainder of the season once he gets back. Let's say Jahri Evans, who is 34, but was a Pro Bowler as recently as 2014, and is a four-time NFL All Pro, can find the fountain of youth, and solidifies the guard position.

How good can this offense truly be?

Adams is a star in the making. I think the guy is going to have a monster year. He wowed people in the pre season, and after just missing 1,000 yards last year, but ending up second in the NFL with 12 TD catches, how good can he be?

Jordy Nelson looked to be in mid season form. I think a big part of our slow start last year was his coming back, and shaking off the cobwebs. He looked fast today. Randall Cobb looked fast today. We made some adjustments, and the passing game found its rhythm. I also thought Jamaal Williams had a few nice carries against a really stout front seven. He and Monty should make a nice pairing going forward.

I don't know, guys. Am I being overly optimistic when I think there could be something very special about this team? I look at the Packers roster from the position of overall talent assessment. Our front seven is coming along. I thought Jake Ryan stepped up today. Clay is healthy. Daniels is a beast. Nick Perry is the real deal. Hell, we didn't even have #55 for most of the day because of a concussion. Brooks will only bring that much more nastiness to the front seven. Kevin King will get going. I think Davon House will play better than he did today. Randall and Rollins can't get hurt as much as they did last year. Burnett and Dix are ready to go.

If this defense is anywhere near as good as they were today, and this offense lives up to its ridiculous potential, I'll go on the record right now and say I expect us to be playing the Patriots in Minneapolis. And, oh, won't the people in Minnesota just hate that?

Rodgers was getting pounded today- and still wound up with +300.

If they don't start protecting him better, he won't last. But I was impressed with his gamesmanship today. He knew he was going to get pressure- he didn't scream at the big guys. He played in mid-season form in the second half. Pretty impressive.

If this is the D we have... boy it's going to be a fun season.

Or just drunk.

Either way I'm giving a mulligan.

I don' drink. But drunk with euphoria? Yes, perhaps he's right. After this weekend, sweeping the Cubs in Chicago, and beating the hated Seahawks, I'm giddy.

I thought Rodgers showed some moxie today. A lesser QB might have pouted, and just imploded (ie Cutler). But instead of letting the protection lapses put him in a funk, he put the offense on his back, and with a great defensive performance, carried his team to victory.

I'm so sick of hearing all the ass kissing of Tom Brady. Rodgers is every bit as good as Brady, if not better.

The SeaHags are probably the best front 7 the Packers will see all season. And with a 6th round essentially rookie RT starting, I'm not going to be hitting  panic button on a week 1 OL still getting their sea legs.

Once Bulaga is back, it not only anchors RT, it helps the whole right side including Evans who looked a little rusty today.

I think Aaron gutted it out today, but one recurring thing I'm noticing early, again, is happy feet and jail breaking from the pocket when he still has time to throw AND GUYS ARE OPEN.

On several replays in the game, Rodgers had anywhere from 4-5 seconds to throw (an eternity in the NFL) and when Fox replayed where the WR's were, you saw Adams, Cobb, and on one play, Nelson with their hand up, trying to get Aaron's attention,  running open.

Now they weren't always WIDE open, but with Aaron's abilities, they were plenty open without him needing to take a sack or throw it away. I'm just hoping it won't take him 4-5 weeks to settle down, relax, and start seeing the whole field.

Best Packers offense ever?  potentially yes but I think they will need to get the running game rolling and solidify the OL to keep AR up right.  As a previous poster said this is the toughest D they probably will face all season and they stood up and passed that test somehow.

Defensively?  I thought with the exception of a few plays they did a great job but the Hags are not as good offensively as Atlanta is this week.  I will be very cautiously optimistic until I see them stop them.

My biggest takeaways from yesterday?  They stood up to the test of that Seattle D and got it done.  Now they have to make sure they don't let down next week against Atlanta it is on national TV and they have a habit of doing that sometimes under the bright lights.
