Been through many contract negotiations in my line of work, including 1st chair several times, so know a little bit about leverage and how it works in trying to reach agreement

Daniel Jones got 4 years and 160 million with 82 million guaranteed.

Wow.

Jones was in a perfect position to hold the Giants hostage and they had no Plan B. He parlayed what I still think was a fluke last season into one heck of a lot of money.

I thought it was a terrible decision to sign him to that contract. I guess timing can be everything.

They also had to deal with Saquon's contract. Similar to the Rodgers extension that Gute probably felt compelled to do even if he didn't want to. Jones needs a perfect situation to play well. You're right, he had them over a barrel. There's a lot of talent on that roster, but paying Jones was a very risky prospect.

OMG 😱 😳 This game is beyond brutal.

How in the world did the Giants make the playoffs last year?? Dallas looks like the 1970's Steelers out there. Christ Almighty

They were 9-7-1 and squeaked into the playoffs by beating the Colts on the last day, and their strength of schedule going into last year was fourth-easiest. And then they looked like world-beaters against MN...

Glad I'm not rooting for them...

Imagine how Vikings fans feel after watching their game at noon...

And then the Packers new QB own Da Bares...

And then the playoff spoiling Giants later on if they weren't already passed out after drinking paint thinner after losing to the Yucs.

A lot of money was made betting against MIN in last years playoff.

Playoff team with a negative point differential.
