I know it is only 3 weeks into the season the Brewers are 2nd in the NL in batting average, tied for 4th in home runs, 3rd in stolen bases, and 2nd in OPS. And when it comes to pitching,  4th in ERA,  leading in BB allowed and 4th in WHIP.

So far so good.  They just need to keep it up.

For the long term, they need a healthy Yelich back.

Very interesting pre-game on the radio yesterday.  Murphy admitted he was slow in getting Payamps up in the bullpen.  Even tho there were 2 outs he didn't feel he could leave Megill in any longer being he had thrown 30 pitches.  So in comes Payamps, hits a guy, walks in the tieing run, but gets the last out in Brewer killer Goldschmidt.  Murphy says he won't make that mistake again.  Very honest for him to say he screwed up.

I think Joey Wiemer's days as a Brewer are numbered.  His hitting has not improved after reworking his batting approach.  Maybe they can trade him for a 4th or 5th starter.  Injuries are killing the pitching staff and Perkins has replaced him in the outfield.  And when Yelich and Mitchell come back it means the end for  Joey.
