I dropped Rickie from my fantasy team today, so expect big things...

β€œYou want to keep with what’s going well. I think that’s the biggest thing,” Axford said. Things are going good right now, winning nine in a row. Losing that tough one [on Wednesday] in San Diego, we had a shot of winning that one at the end, too. You really want to keep with what’s strong and what’s working, I think.”

In other words, he’s just fine serving as setup man to Henderson.

β€œYou don’t want to fix anything that’s not broken right now, that’s for sure,” Axford said.

Yuni is the four hole guarantees 4-5 extra runs.

Go Crew!

Now we need a Hank Jr. post to get the club back on track!
Pivotal game today heading in to a monster home stand.....wait, it's only April. Hogwash, they're all equally important whether it be April or October.....need to take 2 out of 3 today.

The above was a coffee induced stream of conscious while attempting to watch Monsters Inc. with the kids, process the Packers draft, all while thinking about how important today's game will be.

Did I mention I was surprised there wasn't a JS article this weekend about the departure of Greinke?? I love when we are granted access into Zach's mind. It's fascinating.
In the early part of the season, I was totally surprised at how badly we played. I saw the team play for a week in spring training and I was surprised then too at how fundamentally weak we were. I thought we would be really good even after losing Hart. I like the pick ups of Gonzalez and Yuni. Yuni has been much better than I thought he would ever be and Gonzalez hasn't hit like I thought he would, but they've both played a significant role in our recent success. The pitching seems to be coming on. Maybe the most important thing about this team is they are playing like they expect to win. I'm still baffled that Rickie Weeks finds his way into the lineup every day.
