Cincinnati is one of the best home teams in the NL and Milwaukee hasn't exactly played very well there. They will have to play good baseball to beat the Reds and they are not playing good baseball right now.

Gallardo continues to unimpress as well. I don't know what's going on with the pitching staff but issuing 9 walks in the game in inexcusable. Sooner or later the free passes will come back to bite you.
Yo was positively horrible last night.

100 pitches through 4 innings. He couldn't find the plate last night if he rolled the ball up there.

As I mentioned in the Card thread, Yo is a lifetime 1-10 against St Lou and now he is 5-6 against the Reds. It shows against the 2 best teams in the NL Central over the recent past, he is certainly not an ace at this juncture of his career.

Oh by the way, Elka-gay-bongerness favorite player, the Yunibomber is now batting .190 in his last 7 games. The bloom, I think, is off the rose for 2013.
Segura is awesome. Figured he'd be a 15 hr/30+ SB type MIF with good BA. He might have more HR pop though since he's already at 6 now. Was waiting for years to have a Trout/Segura 1/2 punch but then the Halos had to trade him away

Glad to see him doing well though. Dynamic talent. How has his D looked so far at SS? He made the switch to SS in the minors a few years ago and most scouts said he looked like he should stick. Didn't have great range but is sure handed and makes the routine plays
Bittersweet Mother’s Day for Fiers

He was with Linda on Saturday before Brewers assistant GM Gord Ash called offering a promotion to the Majors.

Mom didn’t hesitate. Go, she said.

After the last two days, good days, Fiers said, he decided to go. He rose at 5 a.m. ET on Sunday and spent about 45 minutes with his mother in the hospital before leaving for the airport and a flight to Cincinnati.
Roenicke did not start centerfielder Carlos Gomez, saying he was "a little banged up." Gomez has been battling lower back and shoulder issues, but Roenicke said he could have played if necessary.

"It's a long road trip," said Roenicke. " 'Gomey' has been swinging the bat so well (league-high .371 average) you want him out there, but I also realize I'd like to keep him healthy. He has a better chance of swinging the bat if he's feeling good instead of trying to fight through stuff."
