A win is a win is a win.
How four men came to the conclusion they did on the call trump is talking about baffles me.
Heck. We beat Strasburg twice in the last 3 weeks!
Not too shabby.
As for KRod my personal feeling is they have been playing with house money up to this point because he's far exceeded expectations. I just hope he doesn't melt down too often from this point forward
A point I don't understand is that as of the moment of interference, the ball is dead.
But at that moment, in this instance, the batter was running on the baseline, he was neither safe nor out...how come he gets to advance to first while the ball is dead?
After Denard Span led off with a single, Anthony Rendon followed with a grounder to shortstop.
Span beat the throw to second and was initially called safe, and second baseman Gennett's relay throw got Rendon at first. However, second base umpire Angel Campos called Span out for obstruction as Span came up into Gennett after his slide.
Williams argued and the umpires huddled.
Span remained out but Rendon was ruled safe at first because Span's obstruction created a dead-ball situation.
"I think they got it wrong, but I can't tell you the ruling on it because I've never seen it before," Roenicke said. "(Crew Chief Bill Miller) said once the umpire calls him safe and then calls the interference it becomes a dead ball."
Yes Ron, they got the call wrong. Even if Rendon beat the throw, he should have been out. Otherwise, like trump said, obstruction is the way to go if you are on the basepaths.
The call was actually "unintentional" inference and I believe Rock said he couldn't find that rule in the book. If it is a rule (it wouldn't surprise me if Rock couldn't find it), I guess that makes sense that they made that call. But how would anyone know if if it is unintentional or intentional? They should either just get rid of that judgement call or add in anyone who does a popup slide on a double is an idiot 'cause that's asking for ball in the nose.
Why bother
This game is pretty much over in the 1st
Juan Nieves, who threw the only #Brewers no-hitter, is also the only player in franchise history with THREE starts of 0.1 IP or shorter.

They take a 3-1 lead and he gives it right back by all things a hit by the opposing pitcher and a wild pitch
Why would you call a double steal with Braun/Aram on the way up?
Double steal with 1 out and Braun at the plate are you effing kidding me?
I can't wait for Roenicke to explain that one
13 losses in their last 16 and Cincy coming up. If they ever needed to win a series it's pretty much now
Davis really blew it there. Triple clutched the throw then missed the cut off man.
Time to get the heads out of the asses boys
Reading the game story, nobody was trailing the cutoff man either. I suspect that would have been Weeks and add that in with his caught stealing at the top of the inning =
