Would love to see Freddy return to form.
Cubs lost last night. Cards already lost once today at Atlanta. Game 2 for them to come up yet. Another Cards loss and same for Cubs with a Brewer win that's a game and half on the Cards and 2 game swing on the Cubs.
Its good to have baseball back.
I just wanted to show you the clown that I hired for my granddaughters birthday
Freddie living up to his nick name. He threw 19 pitches in the 1st, 14 4 seam fastballs, 3 change ups, 1 curve and 1 slider. Fastball as high as 95 and 96.
Chourio continues to show he belongs. His single drives in Garrett Mitchell who doubled. 1 - 0 Crew end of 3.
After 4 Crew still up 1-0. Freddy kinda wild, lots of balls and 84 or so pitches so far. He wont last much longer this game.
Ugh, Peguero.
This is the kind of game they lose. At least it seems that way. Reverse jinx? In other news, the over bets (6.5) were dead in the water, but have been miraculously saved.
Carlos Santana hits a 2 strike, 2 out home run to tie in the bottom of the 11th.
It all got to this point because the Brewers didn't play clean defense earlier. It's the type of plays that don't show up in the box score as errors, but teams like the Brewers with small margins for error need to make. Peguero wild pitches a guy to third. It was a poor pitch, but Contreras could have done a better job blocking it. Then a ground ball to Turang with a guy on third. Turang comes home with the throw and is a little bit off to the first base side and allows the guy to beat the tag.

Comes up with a huge RBI single in the 12th as well.
5 runs in the top of the 12th. This looks like a great win to come back and win this after the Santana homer in the 9th.
Crew fans at the game (of which there were many) go home very happy.
A great great comeback win, coming back from being tied twice that is. Let's see what these guys can do today. And don't forget you can watch the game for free on ROKU if you have that app. 12:05 starting time.

And very good catch to end the game. He will only get better.

In his last 31 games, Chourio has gone 34 for his last 109 at-bats with 8 doubles and 4 home runs. He's also had 11 walks and 5 stolen bases.
In a pretty large sample size, a 312 average, 495 SLG, 375 OBP, 870 OPS is all-star territory. It would also project out to about 20 HRs and 25 stolen bases over a full season.
Looks like Yelich gets the day off, and Mitchell gets a chance to show something.
Nice to be able to watch a few extra innings and still get to bed at a decent time.
Looks like the rain delay is over, game underway, top of 1st
Another back and forth game. Chourio comes thru again. I wonder if Haase can play 1st base? His hitting is better than either of the other guys currently playing there.
JFC!!!!!!!!!! Adames doubles leading off the 6th. But Frelick and Hoskins hit the 1st pitch and both pop up. Ortiz gets an infield hit, steals 2nd, but both runners are stranded when Mitchell flies out to left. Brewers trail 5 - 4.
Another great defensive play by Chourio. He reached above and over the railing to snag a foul ball for the 3rd out.
Chourio with a 2nd deck homer to tie it up 5 - 5!!!! Make a great defensive play and lead off the next inning with a homer! I love this kid.
Hoskins with a no out 2 run homer in the 8th. Crew up 7 - 5.
One B I G swing from Hoskins
Single, single, walk and suddenly the Twins have loaded the bases with nobody out.
c'mon Elvis dont be cruel
And he wasn't!!!! Pegeuro gets out of a bases loaded no outs jam. Crew still leads 7 - 5.
Just call him Elvis Houdini today.
this Roku feed is 3 to 4 pitches behind
HOLY HAASE !!!!
Chourio's OPS is now almost as high as Mitchell and Turang, and higher than Frelick's.
Brewers win 8-7. Megill struggles but gets the 3 outs. SWEEP !!!!!!!!
Megill makes it interesting, but closes it out after giving up 2 more runs in the bottom of the ninth.
good lord. when is williams coming back?
First 3 Brewer batters go 1 for 14 with a walk, but the Brewers still score 8 runs. Way to go middle and bottom of the line up.

He pitched an inning for the Sounds today, had 1 strike out and gave up no runs and 1 walk. He threw 20 pitches, 14 for strikes. Junk also pitched an inning, gave up a hit, had a strike out and got the save. Threw 14 pitches, 8 for strikes.
Bad news is D L Hall went 2.2, gave up 2 runs, 3 hits, walked 2 and had 1 strike out.
Entertaining game as I read into it, got a little dicey in the 9th causing some anxiety, but Megill came through at the end. Crew wins, all is good. Lots of HR's from both teams today, but the better team won.
