this can go one of three ways

thats what she said
Some may think the boys will be a little shell shocked today but don't forget the 11-2 drubbing the last time they met. Go Crew and shut down the fairweathers that will be inhabiting Miller Park this weekend.
Hoping they compete and not get swept as that might cash in their season.
Gut check time
F the Cubs.
F their front running "life long" fans who just happened to start wearing Cub gear last year.
Wait until the Jaguars get good, and you start seeing bandwagon fans in their Donovan Darius throwbacks.
(Oh, wait, CalBuc already tried that, didn't he?)

And pick cub players for their fantasy teams.
Arcia is going to be special.
What a glove man.
And. Here. We. Go.
Yes! Nice work Corey! Love it that he didn't give in to Schwarber...
Get that Mojo back, boys.
What a fun game
Big win for the Crew. Nice response to the thumping the day before.
Get after it again tonight
RHP Wily Peralta has been designated for assignment. OF Kirk Nieuwenhuis has been selected from Triple-A @skysox.

These moves could make some Brewer fans insane.
Pretty good outfield defense tonight. Huge catches by Brinson with the bases loaded and 2 outs and another web gem by Perez with 2 outs.
Hader was impressive tonight. Really excited about his future.
Barnes throws fire- but man, you gotta have a secondary pitch. Gives up the lead...
Edwards struggling- he walked Brinson to lead off the 7th on a full count and not one strike was thrown.
Damnit Arica... not a single strike, gives a gift.
Barnes has got to learn not to throw a 92 mph fastball down the heart of the plate on an 0-2 pitch.
Another rally pissed away...
Nice call by Amy with the yellow cardigan.
Piña pegs a pineapple to second.
Hughes always struggles with more then one inning. But still better then Drake.
Here's hoping for some magic.
Bullpen gives it up again
Same old story
Get it tomorrow
Bullpen was fantastic.
Failure to bring in RISP was the problem
Wang coming up since the pen has been used so much
Tough one last night.
We'll get 'em today & then start kicking the Cardinals ass in August.
Tough to listen to all of the vile front=runner cub fans filling the seats at the keg. Gotta change that.
Outside of Knebel and Hader the bullpen is not reliable and hasn't been for a while now. Their record in extra innings is atrocious.
If they have any designs about the postseason they need to add another guy or two and that could include bringing someone up from the minors.
The hitting hasn't been the same since the AS break and if they aren't hitting HRs it's been tough to score runs. That needs to improve as well.
Nice to see Hader come in and fill up some innings but they need to get Guerra turned around somehow.
Today is as good as any to take a step forward and keep it going for STL.
Peralta AND Guerra now both gone. Wang brought up.
And yet Torres remains.
Crew is on TBS.
This crew is fuc*ing atrocious. They squeezed Davies into station to station baseball and 2 runs with 2 outs (he had Bryant what should have been 0-2, but both called balls). Then Shaw checks his swing and gets rung up anyway...

The opening day starters from 2016 and 2017 have to be sent down for lack of performance.
Barnes pitch was a good pitch. Pitching was not he problem this series.
lots of expanded strike zones were a problem
Barnes has been shot seven times and he ain't dead, does that mean anything to you huh? The only thing that can kill Barnes is Barnes.
And his ERA
Brewers were competitive in this series and that was good to see. Only lost a game in the standings. A little better hitting and much better bullpen pitching and they win 2 of 3 or sweep.
**** the Cubs and piss on the Cards.
