Hello,

To Future Holders:

Did anybody here recently receive a letter from the Green Bay Packers Ticket Office? The letter noted that you could accept Gold Package Tickets & get in sooner BUT would lose the possibility to EVER get the GREEN Package.

I took the Gold (1 Pre & 2 Regular) option. Been on the list for 30 years & live 3 hours away so it was the best choice for me. At 5,100 on the ListI still may be on the outside but the view is getting better.

What did you choose? Gold or Green?

To Current Holders:

I've heard Waiting List people can zoom up if they accept the Gold Package. Is this true?

Thanks!

I received the same letter I guess (not sure of my number - under 3000). My letter said I was guaranteed getting tickets next year if I chose the gold package. I decided to take it also as I'd never make it to 7 games a year even though I live just outside of GB. I like the fact that I'll be getting games 2 and 5 and don't have to worry about any cold weather games.
I believe the Packers gave current holders until Sept 20th to decide & then the next phase was the Waiting List letter. They haven't released any info on the 1st phase.

If I had to guess I'd say many of the new seats will be taken because they're actual seats & mainly by people in the N/S End Zones. Prob around 4.5k is my estimate. But that's just me.

Where do seats in Lambeau suck? My seats are in row 40 and 41 of the south endzone. I wouldn't want to sit in the new seats. Too high up for me. I have no problem seeing the plays at the far end of the field without binoculars.
Green Bay Packers season ticket holders might take up as much as half the seats in the new south end zone.

The deadline for ticket holders to apply to move in 2013 to the new section, which among other things has chairs with seat backs instead of benches, was Sept. 20. The Packers are correlating the requests and don’t yet have detailed results.

β€œThere has been a fair amount of interest, with more of the interest in the 600 level,” said Aaron Popkey, director of public affairs. β€œOver the next few weeks, we’ll have the placement finalized and begin the next steps.”

...
The team anticipates 3,800 people will come off the waiting list of more than 100,000.

Press Gazette
I just got off the phone with the ticket office and received a somewhat useful update.

The postcard this year said 585, so it's a lock for season tickets next year. I did not receive a letter in the mail regarding the Gold Package because we previously passed on that package in the past; however, the ticket office informed me that Green Package letter and seat license invoices will go out by the end of this year, with full payment due within 30 days (Merry Christmas).

The words "probably", "usually", and "generally" were used quite a bit, so I don't know how solid this information is.

For those that received the Gold Package letter this week, did you also receive an invoice for the seat license? Did the letter mention anything about when your seat license would be due?

I don't have the letter in front of me but I don't remember anything about the seat license or when it would be due.

Suck is a relative term I guess. I've sat in the 2nd row of the end zone (before the Lambeau leap existed) and I thought those seats sucked compared to other places in the stadium. I hate any seats where you can't tell if the runner gained ten yards or was stopped for no gain.
NumberThree,

Congrats!!! Also, Thank You for the info.

My letter said NOTHING of payments, invoices, dates, etc. It simply stated that I was being offered a "possible" Gold Package & if I chose to accept I had to sign & return (which I did) within a week.

I like the fact that those who declined the offer before weren't sent an offer again. Everyone I talked to assumed they sent the letter to the top of the list. Makes me feel a bit better about my chances.

Question: Around what number were you when you were offered the Gold Package & declined??
I also got the letter asking which ticket packet I preferred, and I am just north of 9,000 on the list.

I spoke to someone at the ticket office the next day and he said in the past most people responded that they wanted to stay on the Green list. The Packers are informing people on the list to state their preference so that when your number comes up in the next few years, they'll just send you the invoice and not have to call you and ask which package do you want.

I opted for the Gold package for the same reasons as everyone else stated here earlier. In my case it will likely still be a few years before I get them.

The first time was around the first renovation in 2000-2002, which put us at number 4,139 (after the renovation was complete we went to 1,119).

I believe we received a second offer for the Gold Package in 2009 or 2010, at which time we were 713 or 648, respectively.

I would assume that since we declined the Gold Package and did not receive the most recent offer, I will simply get a letter and/or invoice for the Green Package.

Does anyone know when this has usually occurred in previous season?

I also believe the Gold Package gets the "Brown County" tickets for the playoffs.

I've gotten playoff tickets with Gold two out of the last three playoff seasons.

You're both doing better than me. In 23 years I have received play-off tickets twice. And I send the form in every year they qualify.
Today I received a letter from the Green Bay/Brown County Professional Football Stadium District saying I am next in line on the waiting list to purchase tickets.

Along with the letter was an invoice for the seat license only, payment due 3/1/2013. This is the 7 Game GREEN Package. They assigned the seats, I did not have the option to pick and choose.

So, all of you anxious low-number GREEN Package waiting list fans should check your mail immediately. Smiler

Same goes to you!

Were you assigned seats as well? I thought there might be an option to choose what was up for grabs, but I guess not. I'm gonna give the ticket office a call on Monday and see.
