AFT. Huge oversight that this hasn't happened yet. One of the most underrated players in league history except by his contemporaries. They knew. Stifling D and pancake jumpers. Played at his own tempo, totally surgical on offense. Always the best option after Kareem.

I had just moved to the DC area when Dick Motta traded for Bobby D. The Bullets needed somebody to neutralize Dr. J and provide a steadying influence along with Wes Unseld to counter the mercurial Elvin Hayes. Worked on all accounts. Still happy I got to watch him play.

About time. A very underrated player. A top 10 Bucks player all-time. That's an interesting question. Where do people think he ranks?

1. Kareem

2. Moncrief

3. Ray Allen

4. Oscar Robertson

5. Dandridge

6. Terry Cummings

7. Marques Johnson

8. Bob Lanier

9. Big Dog (if he'd have only attempted to play defense he'd be top 3)

10. Giannis

It's amazing to think that the Bucks have been in existence for 45 years and haven't had a single Hall of Fame player (or future HOFer) who played the majority of his career with the team. Ray Allen (7 of 19 seasons); Kareem (6 of 20 seasons); Lanier (5 of 15); Oscar (4 of 14).

It's early, but Giannis has a chance. They need to lock this kid up long term as soon as possible. If they put all players currently in their first three years in the league and had a redraft, probably only Anthony Davis gets picked before him. My fear is he ends up a Laker or Knick in 2-3 years.

Dandridge was a 4th round draft choice so quite a steal!

As to that top 10 list, I'd have it a lot different if the rankings rely only on when the players played for the Bucks.  Ray Allen would drop some.  And before Giannis, I'd have to put in Junior Bridgeman and Paul Pressey.

Not that Giannis may not crack my Top 10 after more games.
