let's remember this guy isn't an engish major, his job is to destroy people, i am sure he's not a 4.0 average kind of guy, I like the fire and it came out how it came out...I don't think he needs to reaally apologize for anything.

Daniels has shown on the field that he plays hard and makes plays. I think he feels the defense is quitting and needs to be more aggressive. Plus, he has got to be frustrated with his team in general.

I don't think he literally wants to choke or punch throats. He is using a figure of speech. Unfortunately, the politically correct bunch will have something to go after.

But the violence Daniels is talking about has no place in the league. He’s right that Green Bay has to get tougher on defense.

I get that dirty play is not to be condoned... But I feel what he's saying. How many Packer players have lost time to borderline or illegal hits? They've taken their toll- and it keeps happening? At some point, being clean while everyone else is taking guys out if the game is going to illicit a response. The lip service doesn't reclaim Finley's career. It doesn't heal Cobb's broken leg.

He sounds pissed off and embarrassed and he/they should be. It's about time somebody showed some emotion on that D. Nothing wrong with that. You can play with those emotions and not resort to cheap shots. Wish that kind of attitude would have surfaced weeks ago.

Nothing positive about what he said.  Now stripes will be that much quicker to throw a flag on him. Plus this defense is in desperate need of "actions not words."  Just make the tackles and this won't be a problem.

As for the play he complained about The helmet-to-helmet hit he’s talking about came from Lions LB DeAndre Levy, who knocked a Green Bay player out of the game Thursday with the blow.  I watched the game with family, so I couldn't rewind the DVR like I do at home, but I didn't think that was a particularly dirty play.  Those passes over the middle can be murder anyway, and I don't expect linebackers covering space to run away when a receiver is coming right at him to catch a quick pass.  I know "defenseless receiver" and such, but sometimes collisions happen and it doesn't make them all dirty.

I think his words were words of frustration vs suggesting they litterally going out and start punching players in the throat. At least that's how I took it. For sure he could have worded things differently but who hasn't said something stupid while being pissed off, frustrated, embarassed etc .

I thought the hit to the head (Taylor was it?) was unintentional.

If Levy were saying that, Packer fans would be up in arms that this "punk" would say such stupid stuff.

I hope the coaches get on him, that doesn't need to be shared with the media in that way, frustrated or not.

I get what you are saying and if he starts going out and litterally punching guys in the throat, cheap shotting etc then yes, it becomes a problem to say the very least. Until then, it's just another player flapping his gums.

Speaking of Levy, after the game in the locker room he was gloating about how he "despises" the Packers and was going to really enjoy Packer fans' disappointment back home in Milwaukee over the holiday.  Since it was undoubtedly my (and your) tax dollars that paid for his (questionable) "education" at UW and who-knows-what prior to college, I REALLY am offended at his comments.  I don't know anything about the Levy family (assuming there is one with all the usual members intact), but I hope he gets what he serves - soon!

I probably would not have posted if Levy stated that.

They're football players, not wordsmiths.  To my knowledge, Daniels doesn't have a reputation of dirty plays, questionable hits or penalties or "spouting off to the media" about the game. If he did, my opinion may be different.

Much ado of nothing.
