I think that would be a first, Doc. I don't think it's ever happened for a DT.

Looking at this logically, I think the NFL almost always picks a player that is scoring (or throwing) TD's. DB's that have won the award in the past have usually had a pick 6. For a DL to get it, he'd have to have a ton of sacks and the game would have to be a defensive struggle.
I'm going to go with Nick Collins as a dark horse. I like the Sam Shields pick too - and Tramon Williams could also be in the discussion, but I think it's Nick's time to shine with Ben attempting to throw a lot of deep balls to his speedy WR's on the fast track of the Dome.

Woodson is driven for the ring and I think he has one of those games like Reggie had.
Woodson, just watched the NFL Networks Sountracks show, and he's focused on one thing. Watching him talk to the team in the locker room, he's going to leave it all on the field come Superbowl Sunday.
I'd like to see Driver get it. But then Woodson is just as deserving.

On offense, the only dark horse player I can see is Jennings. I can see Driver and the other WR's having nice games, but not SB MVP games.
