These playoffs are huge for the future of the Packers defensive backfield.  Some have speculated that Davon House will get matched up on Dez Bryant.  If he does spend much of the day on Dez and holds him to modest numbers, it could help TT decide on which player to keep - Davon or Tramon.  Davon is six years younger, but production is key.  Not going to be a lot of extra $$ available after re-signing Cobb...

Got him for the vet minimum.

Agree with that.

Let’s see what Breeland does first. A GM’s job is to bring in better talent. How he does so doesn’t matter. Signing a free agent doesn’t automatically make him better than an undrafted free agent. Sam Shields was an undrafted free agent.

I'm guessing it all depends on that jacked up foot of his.  Skin grafts and infections sounds nasty.  I think it's a good signing, it just seems a little weird no one else was sniffing around this guy.  Hope that foot is healed.

Maybe AJ Hawk's hyperbaric chamber is still available.  That's what worked to heal my skin graft.

He'd come cheap in 2019. If he stays healthy, the Packers could fill a much needed hole at CB. It will be interesting to watch him in the next 3 games.

The Packers have options, but among them is signing Breeland to another contract on what likely will be a team-friendly deal.

“I need him back,” Alexander said of his locker room neighbor. “We’ve built a good connection.”

Breeland said he wasn’t aware of any conversations about a new contract with the Packers, but that he’d welcome a chance to return.

“If I have the opportunity,” Breeland said, “I would. At this point in time, the Green Bay Packers have first dibs because I’m here. They can make it happen at any moment. But I’m not really worried about what the future holds right now. I’m living in the moment. I’m just having fun.”
