We've established that Elko Bong whines when I fail to mention a famous person's passing, so without further ado, it's time bid adieu to Dean Jones, who died yesterday at the age of 84.

Now, you may be asking yourself, "Who's Dean Jones?" If you don't recognize the name, you'll probably recognize the face or the movies in which he appeared. Jones starred in a string of live-action movies for Disney in the 1960s and 1970s, starting with That Darn Cat, from which the above photo is taken. Jones' most famous work at Disney would probably be as the driver of Herbie, the Love Bug, in a pair of films, The Love Bug and Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo.

Jones is survived by his wife of 42 years.
