Fo shizzle my nizzle.

I called my brother and told him the names of 2 players that I thought would be great today.

1 was Cullen Jenkins, the other is Desmond Bishop. Good call japf.
I expected Jenkins to have a big game to Boris, and while he didn't play horrible he didn't get the penetration I expected against that patchwork offensive line. However that may have been part of the game plan to help keep Roethlisberger in the pocket.
Glad someone brought him up. He played an damn good game yesterday. I think he's a better player than Barnett for this scheme. He really gave this team a physical presence they didn't have before.

Him and Hawk should be the starting ILBs next year. Loved Nick Barnett, but he doesn't fit this scheme as well.
Bishop doesn't make that recovery and it's likely a very different game with the Steelers maintaining possession. That one was right up there with his shoestring tackle of Jackson in the Eagle game.
Heath Miller wasn't much of a factor in this game... another TE that Bishop neutralized in the playoffs. Barnett sucked in coverage, which is another reason to let him walk. Bishop has quietly earned the right to start on this defense, period.

Great point on Heath Miller. He was a complete non-factor. I also love watching Bishop knock ballcarries backwards and sideways. Thing of beauty.
