The Braves beat the Brewers.  Yes, Freeman had the big hit off Hader but IMO it was their good pitching and our shitty offense that did in Milwaukee.

Max Fried held the Dodgers in check in game 1 and the Braves got some clutch hits and pitching in game 2.

Itโ€™s a 7 game series so wouldnโ€™t surprise me to see the Dodgers come back and win it but Atlanta has a much more balanced team and their best player Acuna isnโ€™t even playing.

The Dodgers also had a tough series against the Giants that went to the final inning. Scherzer only lasted 4 innings in his start because he said his arm felt dead from having to pitch in relief in the Giants series.

The Braves got to rest a few extra days and set up their rotation exactly the way they wanted. The Brewers offensive ineptitude has hurt the Dodgers as much as anything else.

Max Fried is 12-1 since the beginning of August and has allowed 14 earned runs over that timeframe.  Thatโ€™s pretty ridiculous.  Morton has been decent as well for them and while his W/L record hasnโ€™t been great opposing hitters canโ€™t seem to go deep on him very often.  He keeps the ball in the yard.

The Braves have several hitters that can make you pay and they respond well in pressure situations.
