So now Freddie Freeman has decided to play like shit once he beat the Brewers. He has struck out six  seven   times in a row so far in the series with the Dodgers.

The Braves beat the Brewers.  Yes, Freeman had the big hit off Hader but IMO it was their good pitching and our shitty offense that did in Milwaukee.

Max Fried held the Dodgers in check in game 1 and the Braves got some clutch hits and pitching in game 2.

It’s a 7 game series so wouldn’t surprise me to see the Dodgers come back and win it but Atlanta has a much more balanced team and their best player Acuna isn’t even playing.

The Dodgers also had a tough series against the Giants that went to the final inning. Scherzer only lasted 4 innings in his start because he said his arm felt dead from having to pitch in relief in the Giants series.

The Braves got to rest a few extra days and set up their rotation exactly the way they wanted. The Brewers offensive ineptitude has hurt the Dodgers as much as anything else.

Max Fried is 12-1 since the beginning of August and has allowed 14 earned runs over that timeframe.  That’s pretty ridiculous.  Morton has been decent as well for them and while his W/L record hasn’t been great opposing hitters can’t seem to go deep on him very often.  He keeps the ball in the yard.

The Braves have several hitters that can make you pay and they respond well in pressure situations.

I loved the media knee jerk reaction after the Dodgers won game 3. Suddenly the series was "over" in favor of LA or at the very least the series was even which of course it wasn't.

Well, that didn't last long.

Big miss for the Braves not closing it out with their ace. Now they have to beat Buehler or Scherzer. Dodgers are gonna be all kinds of confident after that beat down.

No Scherzer for tonight.   His arm is still tired.  So glad they paid Kershaw all that money for him to sit on the bench and watch.

I hopped in my time machine to go back to 2016 opening day to tell myself that Lucroy, Arcia and Will Smith were destined for World Series rings because I am an asshole to myself
