I thought the presentation was weak. I expected much more.
It would have been bigger if the Bears won because it's their stadium.
Glaring omission in that post game ceremony when Mrs McCaskey did not present the trophy. Fox also doing the NFL's bidding by not mentioning it.
In 2007 I could swear they had a big on field presentation.
I call consipiracy that they wouldnt do the Halas trophy on Soldiers Field.

Do I really care that some little old lady was too verklempt that her team didn't win to give their rivals a trophy? Not really. Years from now, who will care who handed it to the Packers? Just that they got it.

I think it was mainly because the game went until 5:15 and they had to get it done by 5:35 or something when the next kickoff happened.

The locker room for the Packers looked like something from a High School stadium.
Why not present the trophy on the field so the fans can enjoy it also.

I do recall back in 97 when they won @ San Fran they got the trophy on the field. It was rainy and just a crappy day, but I do remember they had it on the field.
Both teams agreed that if the Packers won they would present the trophy in the locker room "due to security reasons".
In other words, fan misconduct was expected.

I could be wrong, but I seem to recall that a few years back, the NFL decided that if the visiting team won the conference championship team the ceremony would be in the locker room.
Didn't the Giants have a celebration on Lambeau field just 3 years ago?

And the NFL explained that both the Packers and the Bears requested a locker room trophy presentation for security reasons.
It wouldn't have mattered, bears fans were already in the lots burning cutler jerseys.

No I was there at the game. They had the celebration in the locker room.
OK, I couldn't remember.
In '07, the Giants had the presentation in the locker room. At the time it was too cold for an on field presentation.

They screwed up by not instructing Terry Bradshaw to, at least, acknowledge and congratulate Ted Thompson who was on the podium holding the Halas Trophy.

When did they change the trophies? Both NFC and AFC are now the same. They used to be different. The NFC was an oval looking wooden football stadium. Now it's that goofy looking football.
