IMO, DD stuck around a year too long. I think he's handling it very well actually.

And, like others have already stated, he's basically had a farewell year. Driver means as much to us now as he ever has, but everyone's time must come to an end. Here's hoping they can send him off with another title.
It was interesting that Ross got in on at least one play that I saw Saturday. I like the way he returns kicks and punts. When he sees the opening, he really has an extra gear. While I think Cobb is shiftier and probably faster (I haven't looked at their 40 times), Ross is really quick to see an opening and get into it. I also like the north-south way he returns punts and kicks.
For the reasons stated above by Fandame and Pakrz I like Ross too. The other thing is that he's built better than Cobb for this. Ross almost looks like a FB. Cobb's lower body is toothpick-like.
The coaching staff apparently believes Cobb left some return yardage on the field against the Queens and I expect to see a lot of Ross on Saturday. He doesn't appear to be terribly fast but has the vision necessary for the return game and has gotten the job done.
Ross reminds me a lot of Josh Cribbs. Same size, speed, etc. When you have a viable returner in Ross, and Cobb has not only taken on a bigger role in the offense but is also in a bit of a slump as a returner, I don't know why you wouldn't play Ross.

Agreed. Ross is listed at 6-0, 215. Cobb is 5-10, 192. Seems to me that Ross could handle a bit more pounding in the return game than can Cobb. I also hate to see one of our No. 1 receivers as a returner, much the same way I cringed when Jordy was catching punts.

I also thought Cobb didn't take advantage in Saturday's game of some holes and maybe it was the ankle or just a bit of hesitation due to fear of another injury.

Keep Cobb at receiver; let Ross handle returns.

Yes, please. Randall is a really good returner, but he's too important in the passing game now, especially with Greg likely leaving.

This is Robert Brooks all over. He was a top returner, and they stopped putting him back to return kicks when Sharpe got injured.

Of course, Tyronne Drakeford ruined Brook's knee not long after, so who knows.
I am uncertain what the discussion has been regarding Driver, but I am very disappointed that McCarthy did not put Donald in for the final drive. There was absoultely no practical chance the Packers were coming back from a 21 point deficit with 3 minutes remaining in the game. It was very disrespectful to Drivers career and the fan base to deprive us of being able to cheer Donald one final time on the field as a Packer. Is McCarthy really this stupid?
