I can't wait to see what happens the next time somebody says something bigoted against a different group (say, something homophobic or anti-Semitic), especially if it's a black player or coach.  After all, precedent has been set.
Well, the NBA didn't do much to the Dolans after the whole Anouka Brown-Sanders sexual harassment case.  And the Dolans have been awful owners for years.

And you know there are going to be people actually calling for severe punishments in the future regardless of whether or not the precedent is relevant.

Isiah Thomas was the face of the harassment case. Steve Mills was the enabler. Dolan's an incompetent moron.

People can call for severe punishment all they want. Smart people normally end up making the right decisions regarding punishments. Sterling's punishment is a good example.

It was known here in the tampa area that former Buc owner Hugh Culverhouse was a huge racist. It was one of the reasons Bo Jackson told him to stick it and would not sign.

Sterling and Culverhouse are the same old boy mentality.

Donald Sterling's racist remarks? What he's been saying for yrs. I think he should be stripped of his championship rings. All zero of them.

Learning about the latest racist rantings of Donald Sterling is about as shocking as learning that Goalline follows Bette Midler on Twitter.

It's really interesting all of these teams (and the NBA) get criticized for their economic model yet teams like Milwaukee and Sacramento sell for 500MM plus and now the Clips for 2B?   Hell, what are the Knicks or Bulls or Lakers worth?  5B?  The Clippers don't even own their own pad and only collect about 25% from Staples Center.   Crazy money
