Ok, the queens win, then I just might, ah.........hard to say.  It’s not over till it’s over, but........it HAS BEEN EXCITING.  Who tonight wanted an exciting game......IT HAS BEEN EXCITING.

This pregame show on Amazon is terrible. Which is saying a lot considering the other ones that are out there.

Thought the exact same thing. I never watch pregame shows and picked a horrible night to shake it up. 1 + hour of garbage.

Gibbons on the thread title.  May have peaked too soon though.

Thanks for the props. I was going to use the title that Iowacheese submitted,”Thorsday Night Football” but since I have him and Y.A. blocked, I never saw it.

A lot of talk this morning on Philly sports radio that Cousins could be an attractive addition for the Jets before the trade deadline.  If skols continue to lose, they might be open to trading Cousins as he is on the last year of his contract.

I agree. A couple more losses by Jets and Vikes and I think they'll at least entertain the idea of moving Cousins. Not a bad QB, but he won't get you to the promised land. The trouble is that he's such a statue and the Jets don't have a much better OL than do the Vikes. But the Vikes are also in a hole with Jefferson, as he knows MN will most likely go into rebuild mode after this year if Cousins leaves. Jefferson doesn't want to be around for that. They couldn't sign Jefferson before the season so now Jefferson wants to wait until after. He will want out of MN.

I think a lot of it is NY media hype, but if the Jets defense is really an elite level unit, Cousins is more than good enough for them to make a deep playoff run. He won't make mistakes, he's very coachable, and if Brock Purdy went down again, he'd probably be in SF the next day if the Vikings fall farther out of it.

The Jets OL sucks, but Cousins would do EXACTLY what the scheme dictates. He'd execute passes on 3 step drops with cut blocks. He'd take the check downs. Cousins would throw quickly to Wilson 100 times out of 100 on the play Rodgers got hurt on. Heck, Cousins would throw that pass to Wilson on 4th and 20 with less than 2 minutes left in the game down by 7 points.

I read somewhere that the Jets have about 9 million in salary cap space this year (likely from the Rodgers restructure). They could do it if the Vikings wanted to get some draft capital for him.

That game was a dumpster fire with a box of fireworks smoldering in the bottom. It seemed exciting at times, but it was really just a big mess with a few explosive plays from time-to-time.

The thing with the Jets' and vikings' OLines is that they are very similar, as far as being porous goes. If Cousins goes to the Jets, it will be just like being on the vikings team behind their OLine. I think the vikings are looking at getting rid of Cousins, but not looking forward to their star, Jefferson, leaving. Purple pain, purple pain! So much to love in viking world.

The only reason Cousins would be attractive to the Jets is that he's a much better passer and decision-maker than Wilson. It would be attractive to Cousins because while he may still get the crap beat out of him, he'll also win more games because he would have a much, much better defense. At the end of the year, he'd still be a free agent. It's low risk for the Jets and for Cousins, but potentially could put both in a better spot by the end of the year. Then if it's a sure thing that Rodgers will be back, the Jets don't have to sign Cousins; if it looks like Rodgers may not return, then they could go after Cousins. Of course, that assumes Rodgers would be truthful in his physical condition and feelings about playing again.

Either way, Jefferson will go elsewhere. "Purple pain" indeed!
