No official word yet on Holiday, but he’s not expected to play tonight.

Hope the Bucks did some soul searching... especially Lopez.

Milwaukee has approved 10% capacity for Fiserv Forum- the Bucks will have fans for the first time in a calendar year.

Bucks with just a horrendous start. Lopez with multiple turnovers leading to easy shots on the other end. Giannis goes 0 for 2 from the line.

Down 16-7. Raptors start 3 for 4 from 3 with every shot a wide-open corner 3.

Wow... body language says it all now. Can’t keep putting the same guys out there if they don’t want to play hard. Gotta go deeper into the bench if that’s the case. Bench Forbes, bench Connaughton, bench Lopez...

I mean, is Bud a fucking idiot? Down 9 after another open 3.

Does Nick Nurse just giggle after every game he matches up with Bud. You understand losing to a team with Kawhi, Gasol, Ibaka, and Lowry along with FVV and Siakam. Right now, they are getting their asses handed to them by a team they should be beating by 20.

DDV is 1 for 8 from 3. He just missed a wide open 3 that would have tied it.

The Raptors appear to be letting Giannis get his points and focus on not letting Middleton shoot. They are making the other guys shoot in the second half and they can't make them in a pressure situation.

That’s when they’re really missing Holiday. That real deal third option is when you can’t be defended like that.

3 bad trips... bad shot, bad shot, turnover. Other way give up an open 3 and a putback. Not playing hard enough...

Scheme and non-Giannis/Middleton personnel is the problem.

I mean, you call a timeout and set up a Connaughton 3?

It also shows how weak they are at the guard position outside of Holiday.

DDV is 3 years in and hasn't improved much.

They had to bench Forbes tonight because of lack of defense.

Augustin was also unplayable in the second half.

Lopez is an anachronism in today's NBA.

They are stuck with this team. I just don't see them being a competitive team in the playoffs.

They have Giannis, Middleton, Holiday, and a good 6th man in Portis.

You would think that Budenholzer would get more out of these guys, but the one thing we know for a fact is that Budenholzer is COTY early with a team and then the message, for whatever reason, gets stale. Can’t help but notice that the pattern in Milwaukee is VERY similar to the pattern in ATL.

And it seems to be rooted in “let it fly”. It promotes an offensively undisciplined approach that encourages bad shots. When they fall, woo hoo! When they don’t? It’s piss poor. And combined with their obviously flawed defensive philosophy of dropping into the paint in the P&R, they succeed in losing to bad teams with undisciplined play on both ends (not to mention their inability to win close games against good ones). And without a floor general, it becomes chaos.

Both issues are indicting the coach. Playing undisciplined on one end, much less both, is on the coach. They guided Giannis to be a 3 point shooter instead of working on his shooting touch from the inside out (like the Spurs did with Kawhi)- they were wrong. And he’ll do what he’s told to a fault, so that’s on them too.

Time to bring in a coach that can take them from Doug Collins to Phil Jackson...

Last 4 games.

Giannis is 48-81 from the field (59%), 4 for 13 from 3 (31%), and 34 for 44 from the line (77%). He is averaging 33 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.

Middleton is averaging 17-5-5 and shooting 40% from 3. He's not been bad. He hasn't seized the moment, but teams are taking him away and making the other guys hit shots. They can't do it consistently.

In those 4 games,

Augustin is 4 for 21 from the field, and Forbes is 17 for 39. Neither one of them can guard anybody effectively. DDV is inconsistent and isn't a starting guard on a great team, but at least he can play defense.

They have to upgrade from Augustin/Forbes even when Holiday comes back.
