Good pick in a weak draft. Won't help the team next year so the lottery odds are better. Now trade Jennings.
Yes, no band aids. Rip off the scab and let it heal fresh.
But don't eat it.......
Sounds like they also traded for the South Dakota State guard that can flat out shoot and score.
Read several tweets and posts last night about how Jennings can be dealt for the right price. Makes me think this team isn't done building the roster yet
Great draft. Would have rather had Karasev, but I cant complain about them taking a true 3 who is long will be able to defend the other teams best scorer in 2-3 years when he fills out.
Great frame... 6-9 and long. 198 lbs... basically Wisconsin will do him well.
Brats/Cheese/Beer.
Wolters might have been the best player in the college ranks the past 2 seasons. Look what he had to play with and the results his teams had. He's legit and he has performed well against pretty tough competition - including wisconsin!
And Antetekoumpo will be as good as he wants to be. If he wants, he has Paul George potential. It'll take a few years, but he could be something. We'll see if this staff will develop players well enough.
Nostalgia....
MusicCity called Giannis pretty early.
With the benefit of hindsight, what's the difference between Nate Wolters and Josh Gasser? In other words, why did Wolters get a chance while Gasser couldn't? They are exactly the same size and Gasser was a superior defensive player (an NBA level defensive player) and 3 point shooter.
Tough to say on Wolters. He was really a tweener - not really a point guard and not athletic or big enough to be an effective 2 guard. He also had a lot of injuries during his short pro career.
Gasser didn't take anyone off the dribble- Wolters was an elite scorer with the ability to get to the rack.
Gasser was not a good offensive player. A well rounded and excellent college player, but Wolters could really score.
