Sounds like the one and done rule is on the way out, I don't really care. Seems to me if a kid can make coin right out of HS, he should. The only thing I think should be changed from the old model is if a kid isn't drafted, he should be able to go to school on scholarship. Kinda like MLB, where getting drafted doesn't take away your opportunity to go to school, but where kids still need to declare their intentions.

That year of Kevin Durant playing for Rick Barnes was critical to his development.
The whole NCAA model is a joke anyway. If a kid is a world class musician, he can go make as much money as they want playing any gig they want. How is that different from a legal perspective than an athlete? It's amazing it's held up in court this long.
The NBA now has a well developed D League. The D League is equivalent to minor league baseball in terms of a development program. The weakness of minor league baseball is that there are thousands of minor league players who make diddly squat. Pay the D league guys a livable wage and save the college scholarship dollars for students who want to be there.
LBJ's kid is supposed to be a good prospect.....sign him up , beat the crowd.
Not a fan of the one and done rule. If Kevin Garnett or LeBron James or Kobe Bryant are ready to play at 18 why make them play games in college (wink wink Kentucky) when you know damn well they have no intention of completing a degree?
I am no fan of the NBA at all but I do think the rule is crazy. If a guy can play in the NBA then so be it let him play and as EL-KA_BONG said if a player isn't drafted then he should be able to go to college if they choose to do so.
I am however a huge college BB fan and I think that doing away with the one and done rule will improve the college game
Since theyβve got a grip on rookie deals, they can dump the one and done.
But this further empowers the AAU set- even more money for these sleazy bastards...
