Change-up seems to be Burnes' best pitch, so far tonight. Slider is getting Cubs to swing away, too.
Brewers strand 2 in the top of the third. 5 runners LOB, tonight.
Plenty of traffic on the bases but no clutch hits. 0-5 with runners in scoring position.
Nice range and throw by Turang!
Turang deserves a Gold Glove. That play is starting to look routine with him.
Weimer has seen 4 pitches in 2 ABs.
No runs, but they do have Steele at 95 pitches in 5 innings. Get to the bullpen by the 7th and they may be in good shape.
They should have had him out in 5 innings. He was at 65 pitches after 3 innings.
Monasterio with a nice double play!
Santana should have pinch hit for Wiemer.
Diving grab by Turang to get the lead runner!
Burnes gets out of the inning with a nice curve.
Leiter in for Steele. Steele threw 111 pitches in 6 innings.
Caratini looks to have swung at 2 balls with a 2-1 count. And he strikes out.
Burnes gets out of another inning with Cubs stranded on 1st and 2nd. That'll be it for Burnes.
Merryweather pitching the 8th for the Cubs.
Yelich bunts his way to 1st. C'mon Crew!
Well. So much for that. Yelich gets caught stealing after a bunt single.
I guess you can't win them all.
Yelich gets caught stealing. Canha goes around and the appeal says he's out. I had hoped for a better inning after Yelich bunted safely.
Uribe in for the Crew.
The Brewers hit 3 balls that would have been HRs with no wind. 0-5 with runners in scoring position in the first 3 innings. The Cubs didn't hit anything hard except the Happ double in the first.
Somedays youâre the windshieldâĶ
Last chance.
Alzolay trying to close it for the Cubs.
The wind is playing centerfield.
Tellez pinch hitting for Wiemer. So much for that. Cubs win 1-0

I was using ESPN Gamecast and they showed pitch #5 farther outside.
Taylor struck out twice on pitches that were about a foot outside the zone. One up, one in.
The gamecast isn't very accurate with what the TV is showing. Almost like watching a game on TV and listening to the radio when it comes to balls and strikes.
Huge game this afternoon.
It's early for magic number talk, but for discussion purposes the Brewers current magic number over the Cubs is 27 with 30 games left.
Today's game is almost a 3 game swing in the magic number in some respects. Obviously, it's a Brewers win and a Cubs loss if Milwaukee wins. But, importantly, the current season series stands at 5-4 Brewers with 4 games left between the two teams. If the Brewers win today, the Brewers only have to win 1 of the last 3 in the season-ending series to win the tiebreaker. If the Cubs win today, whoever takes 2 of the final 3 wins the tiebreaker.
A little shake up in the batting order compared to the last few games.
This is about the best lineup the Brewers can put on the field. Most of the Brewers hitters have become very patient and that is essential with Hendricks. He's going to nibble and if the Brewers start chasing he won't throw a lot of strikes. Even when he's behind in the count he'll throw slop. He's like Zack Davies was only a little better.
Woodie walks the first guy on 5 pitches where the hitter never took a swing. 3 of the pitches were strikes. It could be a frustrating day for pitchers.
Who's behind the plate today, Angel Hernandez?
D J Reyburn. Hernandez is at 1st base.
The guy has been brutal. The strike zone opened up after the 1st inning. Hernandez must be rubbing off on him. Canha has had three outside pitches called strikes.
Now the Brewer hitters are doing exactly what Hendricks wants, a 6 pitch inning. Not much rest for Woodie after he just completed a high stress inning.
The Cubs have 2 hits but Woodie walked and HBP the first two hitters and they both scored. Burnes and Woodie did their jobs and gave the Brewers a chance to leave Chicago with a commanding 7 game lead. The offense has been pathetic since the first inning of the first game.
At least we tied it up.
Should have had more. Turang had a sweet pitch to hit but the pitcher just hit a guy. Take a strike, he's in a tight spot, make him work. Now and error and a BB with no outs. Need a DP or a non-productive out. Cubs still have just 2 hits.
