took 2 out of 3 from the scrubbies. another good comeback win today.
Keep winning series and the post season starts looking pretty good.
Where things stand with St Louis losing today:
Team | W | L | PCT | GB | STRK |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Milwaukee | 59 | 43 | .578 | - | W2 |
St. Louis | 53 | 49 | .520 | 6 | L1 |
Pittsburgh | 52 | 50 | .510 | 7 | W1 |
Cincinnati | 49 | 53 | .480 | 10 | W2 |
Chicago | 49 | 55 | .471 | 11 | L2 |
I still think in the end Cincinnati is going to be the team pushing the Brewers in the final weeks of the season.
Cincinnati? 10 games back with 60 to play... The Reds would have to go on a historic tear or have the Brewers crash in such a way that the Cards/Bucs would be right there.
Seen stranger things though
Very nice series win by the Crew!! Getting 4 out of 5 on the road, with 3 of them being 1 run victories is a good sign going forward.

I just think they are the 2nd best team in the division. Most likely no one really pushes the Brewers but I like the other team in the division that has a positive run differential.
And the fact that Cinncy has a home losing record is also a reason they will not compete. Win 2 of 3 at home and play .500 on the road and you will win your division. That gets you 94 wins and should take the division. Cinncy would have to go undefeated at home for the rest of the season to win 2 of 3 at home. That ain't happening and everyone knows it.
Best place to put this I guess since we don't have a trades thread. Cubs must be calling it a season. They traded Mark Leiter Jr to Yankees for a minor league pitcher and utility infielder.
