I've answered these questions so many times. Why do you continue to ask?
You will find plenty of guys reaching base 40% in plate appearances they don't K in. If Gomez can do it 36% of the time most players will be above 40. Hits, BBs,HBP, and reaching by error are all example of reaching base. These are all things that happen when a player doesn't K.
You want to compare the stats of 2 different teams with different personnel. That's not what my original statement was about. I'm talking specifically about the current Brewer team in response to the initial statement that the Brewers K too much.
you said "they reach base 40% of the time they make contact." Walks and HBP are not contact plays. No one makes it to first 40% of the time they make contact. If that is all it took, there would be a lot more free swingers in the game.
comparing stats of all teams is the only way you can evaluate if making more contact (and reducing strike outs) resulst in more productivity. We can easily do that by looking at teams who strike out a lot and team who don't. As it turns out, strike outs are never a determining factor. You can strike out a ton, but if you draw a lot of walks and hit a lot of home runs you will score a lot of runs. If you seldom strike out and turn that into a strong OBP and don't hit into double plays, you will score a lot of runs. It's about getting on base and avoiding outs, not making contact and what kind of outs you are getting. Strike outs might be about hurt feelings, but they have little to do with scoring runs.

He can't see it (allegedly), and nothing out of bounds was posted.
I deleted it anyway.
If this is simply going to be a conversation between the two of you, maybe PM would be better?
