I would like to announce my new non non-profit venture. The Floriduh Institute of Charm and Sensitivity Training. There are future plans for a casino stripper cathedral located in Manhattan between Ground Zero, St. Paul's Cathedral and Cordoba House Islamic Community Center.

For now we will all meet for coffee and pie at the following location.

Our first sessions will be "How to defend yourself against that pig of a woman you married" and "Laffy Taffy: sexual gratification and you".

Uniform shirts will be provided:

No such thing as bad press.

They knew exactly what they were doing. How many clicks do you think that generated? They knew what they were doing, I'm certain of it.

Wow. You really think that? Does ESPN.com really need to go that route? I don't see racial insensitivity as good publicity at all.

FYI, the opening skit on SNL last night off of this (and other Lin stuff) was classic.
Pekin"g" Chinks.. geez....

Things like that we as a society should change, but lapses in judgement like what probably happened at ESPN.. no reason to be firing people IMO. Suspension ok, but to take someones job over a mistake with words? Child Please.

Unintentional? Probably. Stupid? On a astronomical level. You're a writer and you can't navigate the hundreds of phrases that could be used in this instance? The idiot deserved to be fired just out of sheer stupidity.

edit: Since my original shock comment was deleted I'll just say GBP1 is a slowcoach.

While I agree with Henry on the weak effort in the phrase used... not sure if I'd fire the guy over it.

As for the PC police jumping up and down about this. One could argue that it is only racist if you read it that way. a flaw
