Same issue here with crab grass. The house next door is a rental, and they couldn't care less about the lawn. That lawn is infested with this evil plant, and it's been spreading into my front yard, which we care for meticulously since the dogs aren't on it and leaving piss spots as they have in the back yard. I just sprayed over the border at first, and when the neighbor noticed the brown plants, I played dumb and simply said the spray must have spread. That gave me the opening I needed to ask him if he'd mind if I just nuked his whole yard. He didn't care. Problem solved, at least for now until that crap grows back.

My neighbor on the other side is a jackhole, and his crappy lawn is filled with Bermuda grass, which is even nastier. I just waited until they weren't home and blasted his entire property. F him.
A guy I know who's dad is a farmer sprayed his lawn and the neighbors with what he thought was 2-4-D to kill dandelions. Trouble is the product was really Round-up! So now huge brown spots all over everywhere. Add in the fact the neighbors wifes brother owns a pro lawn care and he had just sprayed the day before and you have major troubles.
