Oh, I have cable and am watching! The Swiss did a great job with only 10 men for 63+ minutes and had their chance when they got it to PKs. It would have been fun to see a small nation like Switzerland make it to the semis. But, it was stunning to see how badly both teams shot penalties.
Italy really puts the pressure on and plays the game off those turnovers better than any team. Let's see how Belgium responds...

KAAAAAAANE! Easily the shittiest penalty kick that man has ever taken, BTW. Most of his PK's look like they've been shot out of a cannon. On one the ball hit the net before the goalie dived.

If they had Sterling taken it, it would have looked prettier coming off his foot, but would have sailed 6 feet (sorry, 2 metres) over the top left corner.
Too bad Denmark didn't have Eriksen; it might have been a different story. The Danes just didn't have anyone to break down England inside. Kind of a cheesy pk, but Italy-England was made for TV.

I always wanted to drill the PK right at the goalie - knowing he was going to dive...and NOT be in the middle by the time the ball arrived. Never had the testicular fortitude to try it tho.
