First half analysis:
Taylor is/was awful. Gawd-awful.
Does Hue have a MM-worthy stubborn streak?

I got a weird boxing vibe watching Taylor flounder, getting beat up every round, and taking longer and longer to get up each time he was knocked down.
Then it switched to rasslin' when Mayfield came in. Tagging the fresh man in, and he's going crazy slaughtering their opponents.
Not much of a football vibe either way. Imagine that....

Not a Cleveland fan and was a skeptic when Browns drafted Bake #1 overall.

Then watched Hard Knocks and saw the dude has incredible leadership skills and intangibles.  And pretty decent arm strength and touch on his passes.  I’ll admit, I was a bit surprised.  Sort of reminds me of a slightly less athletic version of Russell Wilson.

For once, maybe C Town got it right.  It would be fun to see them get back to prominence.  But it won’t be with Hue Jackson.  He is not a good HC.

But just think, they could have drafted Barkley #1 and still got Mayfield with #3.

You sure about that??

I believe Giants would have drafted Mayfield. Then the Browns would've been stuck with $hitty Darnold & more terrible QB'ing.

I assure you, Eli ain't getting any younger & he's starting to suck. Giants GM Gettleman is pretty good. There's a reason Baker was drafted before Barkley & the Browns can get comparable results from Hyde or any number of RB's. Mayfield's arm talent is light years ahead of Darnold & that's something you cannot coach.

There's also a reason the Steelers won't pay Le'Veon - but that's another thread.

The first pass BM threw to Landry made me stand up out of my seat. I can't remember the last time I saw a Brown QB with that much zip on the ball.
