Idots.

But I have a real quandry on my hands....

On my team I have both the Seahawks and Packers defenses...

I really believe that the Packers D will fare better against the Hawks O than the Hawks D will fare against the Pack...

I really want to start the Packers D instead of the Hawks...

However, my problem....

my Partner on the teal is a German, quite knowledgeable about the NFL, but he refuses to bench the Hawks D.

1. does anyone agree with me that the Pack will show better on D?

2. if yes, how do I convince this stubborn Deutscher?

thanks!

Honestly it's risky starting either Defense on Sept. 4th.

You're probably splitting hairs. Either starting def. will most likely result in the same outcome. Unless the Pack returns an INT for a TD

To be quite honest, I'd look elsewhere to spot start a different D for this week.

P.S. I'm starting the Packer D in a couple leagues this week

P.S.S. We hijacked this thread

You're making a mistake.

Rule #1. Always start your studs. You used a high draft pick on Cobb (2nd or maybe a high 3rd?) Where did you get Colston? (6th? 7th?? 8th!?!?!)

Hey it's your team & I know the perceived matchup is better with Saints vs. Atlanta's D, however there is no way I'd start Colston over Cobb in ANY week as long as Cobb is healthy.

That same crossing pattern underneath that Janis ran for a TD vs. the Rams, I can see Cobb doing that all day long, especially if, as Hersch, says, Rodgers takes Earl Thomas out of the middle. The Packers clear out the middle of the field underneath with that combo route. They do it all the time & Rodgers accuracy is deadly.

Now, if you have Demarius Thomas, Julio Jones & Randall Cobb (starting 2 WR, no flex) You bench Cobb for Jones? THAT I could understand, but Colston?!?! Speaking for myself, I Can't do it.

Of Course, Colston will have 3 TD's now & Cobb will have 3 catches for 45 yards, now that I posted this.

To spot start a different D I would have to cut one or the other of what is on my roster. I don't want to risk losing either of them. I have high hopes for the Packers D this season..

Yeah, Bell seems the easy choice if he's getting the lion's share of the work.

I'm stuck at QB. Cutler vs. San Fran (possible receiver issues though even though I think San Fran's defense is exploitable), Jake Locker vs. Dallas (helloooo matchup and only one at home) or Carson Palmer vs. the Giants (matchup, but road game and he may have a slightly hurt shoulder). My gut feeling is stick with Chuck It Up Cutler, but my analytical side thinks Locker is a great choice this week.
