Good point.
Tebow puts the "fantasy" in fantasy football.
Idots.
But I have a real quandry on my hands....
On my team I have both the Seahawks and Packers defenses...
I really believe that the Packers D will fare better against the Hawks O than the Hawks D will fare against the Pack...
I really want to start the Packers D instead of the Hawks...
However, my problem....
my Partner on the teal is a German, quite knowledgeable about the NFL, but he refuses to bench the Hawks D.
1. does anyone agree with me that the Pack will show better on D?
2. if yes, how do I convince this stubborn Deutscher?
thanks!
Honestly it's risky starting either Defense on Sept. 4th.
You're probably splitting hairs. Either starting def. will most likely result in the same outcome. Unless the Pack returns an INT for a TD
To be quite honest, I'd look elsewhere to spot start a different D for this week.
P.S. I'm starting the Packer D in a couple leagues this week
P.S.S. We hijacked this thread

Speak French to them. It will piss them off.
BTW, I really don't appreciate all this FF talk in my FF thread.
You're making a mistake.
Rule #1. Always start your studs. You used a high draft pick on Cobb (2nd or maybe a high 3rd?) Where did you get Colston? (6th? 7th?? 8th!?!?!)
Hey it's your team & I know the perceived matchup is better with Saints vs. Atlanta's D, however there is no way I'd start Colston over Cobb in ANY week as long as Cobb is healthy.
I don't think Cobb is matchup-proof but that said, if he's in the slot I have no problem running with him as that likely means Sherman will be locked on to Jordy or one of teh outside guys and if they can get Thomas to have to cover Rodgers/Boykin/whomever down the seam it's not a terrible matchup.
That same crossing pattern underneath that Janis ran for a TD vs. the Rams, I can see Cobb doing that all day long, especially if, as Hersch, says, Rodgers takes Earl Thomas out of the middle. The Packers clear out the middle of the field underneath with that combo route. They do it all the time & Rodgers accuracy is deadly.
Now, if you have Demarius Thomas, Julio Jones & Randall Cobb (starting 2 WR, no flex) You bench Cobb for Jones? THAT I could understand, but Colston?!?! Speaking for myself, I Can't do it.
Of Course, Colston will have 3 TD's now & Cobb will have 3 catches for 45 yards, now that I posted this.
I'm just hoping Cobb doesn't get hurt returning punts.
I just won $5

To spot start a different D I would have to cut one or the other of what is on my roster. I don't want to risk losing either of them. I have high hopes for the Packers D this season..
I just traded Tebow for Sam Bradford.
I'm willing accept offers for Josh Gordon.
Does he come with a bag of weed?
Great accessory for this year's McFarlane figures.
I'm thinking about starting Shane Vereen (vs. Miami) over Doug Martin (vs. Carolina) this week. Nice first real game back from shoulder injury.
I really like Vereen this season. Risky. Here's the current rankings by 1 mans opinion
1. LeSean McCoy vs JAX
2. Jamaal Charles vs TEN
3. Adrian Peterson at STL
4. Matt Forte vs BUF
5. Montee Ball vs IND
6. Marshawn Lynch vs GB
7. Arian Foster vs WAS
8. LeVeon Bell vs CLE
9. Eddie Lacy at SEA
10. Doug Martin vs CAR
11. DeMarco Murray vs SF
12. Zac Stacy vs MIN
13. Giovani Bernard at BAL
14. Andre Ellington vs SD
15. Toby Gerhart at PHI
16. Alfred Morris at HOU
17. Bernard Pierce vs CIN
18. Chris Johnson vs OAK
19. Rashad Jennings at DET
20. C.J. Spiller at CHI
21. Ben Tate at PIT
22. Joique Bell vs NYG
23. Frank Gore at DAL
24. Reggie Bush vs NYG
25. Ryan Mathews at ARI
26. Lamar Miller vs NE
27. Steven Jackson vs NO
28. Maurice Jones-Drew at NYJ
29. Shane Vereen at MIA
30. Fred Jackson at CHI
31. Stevan Ridley at MIA
32. Mark Ingram at ATL
33. Trent Richardson at DEN
34. Pierre Thomas at ATL
I'd move him up about 15 spots if it's a PPR league.
Move him up 6 spots to 23 if it's PPR
According to some on TV, Cutler will win the MVP. Why not draft him
Actually Cutler is a pretty solid QB in FF this year. He can usually be had around the 9th - 10th rounds or so and will put up good numbers. A great value pick IMO.
Agree.... nothing wrong with Cutler for FF.
For real football?? Nahhh.....I think I'll go with Rodgers
tough choice. Have Brady (@ Miami) and Kaepernick (@ Dal)
been scouring the net looking for advice and seems pretty torn on who
to go with week 1...
It's your team....your call. Probably can't go wrong either way but for my money I'm starting Brady over Kaepernick this week
Brady, despite the Dallas defense.
Yep, I'm rolling with Cutler this year. That back half schedule is as squishy as it gets with Detroit & Minnesota twice, Dallas and even the Saints. CArson Palmer as a backup as he has really good matchups those weeks I'll want an alternative.
So, who's the FF expert here? I'm in a PPR league and need to start one of these guys:
Golden Tate - @ Carolina
Greg Jennings - home vs. New England
Joique Bell - @ Carolina
Thanks
Heard Reggie Bush is having problems.
I'd go with Bell
Thanks Boris.
Yeah, Bell seems the easy choice if he's getting the lion's share of the work.
I'm stuck at QB. Cutler vs. San Fran (possible receiver issues though even though I think San Fran's defense is exploitable), Jake Locker vs. Dallas (helloooo matchup and only one at home) or Carson Palmer vs. the Giants (matchup, but road game and he may have a slightly hurt shoulder). My gut feeling is stick with Chuck It Up Cutler, but my analytical side thinks Locker is a great choice this week.
Locker is a great play this week. I'm using him in my daily games.
If the Bears WR's weren't having issues, it's probably a toss-up....but I'm playing everybody vs. the Cowboy D until they stop someone.
Has everyone put in a waiver claim for Josh Gordon yet?
Got him in one league, just missed him in another.
Khiry Robinson or Doug Martin?
not sure if MArtin will play. I also have J Charles, not sure if he'll play either.
ugghhh
Charles is out. Martin is practicing. Is Knile Davis, available in your league? I would snag him especially since you have Charles.
Michael Floyd vs Michael Crabtree?
I'm leaning towards Crabtree, since Palmer is out.
Crabtree is going to get the Patrick Peterson treatment.
Is Andrew Hawkins on the WW? If not, go with Floyd
RE: Crabtree, watch the Vernon Davis status. Kaepernick may be running a lot if all he has are his outside targets.
For defense, I'm thinking starting Cin (vs Tenn) over Car (vs Pitt)
Normally I'd stay with Carolina, but Cincy's not bad, especially against Tennessee.
Should I stick with Car or change to Cin?
