Ryan Day lost two games all year and he will be on the hot seat for the Michigan game and for that last 30 seconds. Settle for a 50 yard FG attempt with two timeouts and the WRs they have?

Terrible coaching once they got in position. They had plenty of time to make that kick a more comfortable one.
Feel bad for the kicker. He was 0 for 4 for his career from 50 yards plus. You have a top 5 overall pick at QB, multiple first round WRs, and you run the ball into the middle of the line to lose one on first down?
And if OSU manages to pull it out the discussion is about Georgia's clock management. Both games were very entertaining.

Made me think of Chris Weinke, who was a few years older. Turns out Weinke wasn't technically even the oldest rookie NFL QB.

Classic targeting. Launch with crown.
Hitting in the back is targeting?
Ohio State and Michigan lost. Great end to 2022
Pulling for TCU because fuck the SECβ¦but that said I think Jawja is going to be way too physical up front for the Frawgs. Hope Iβm rong though.
Gotta love TCU, great story!

Yup.
βThe 2019 NCAA Rule Book defines targeting as when a player "takes aim at an opponent for purposes of attacking with forcible contact that goes beyond making a legal tackle or legal block or playing the ball."
I think what should be encouraging for UW fans is TCU runs a version of the Air Raid offense that Longo (OC) will be installing in Madison and they had their way with Michiganβs defense.
Two very entertaining games and Iβm glad Iβm not in Columbus or Ann Arbor as Iβm sure thereβs going to be a ton of second guessing and finger pointing and lamenting about missed opportunities.
Just goes to show that itβs really hard to win a national championship much less get to the title game.

The targeting rule is vague and leaves it up to the refs to decide what targeting is.
Not the final 4 but the Cotton Bowl was a great game. Rose Bowl up next.
Penn State looked really good in the Rose Bowl. So the Big Ten goes 5-4 in the Bowls with the top teams going 1-3. Typical of the Big Ten.

Man do I look forward to an open offense in Madison. I will admit that will be weird to see but I love it.
I live about an hour from Columbus and let me tell you there is some grumbling going on. Day has lost a total of 6 games in a little more than 4 years but when you lose to Michigan twice and keep losing in the playoffs the rubes are out in full force. Some are openly calling for his job its nuts.
Meeeechigan and Harbaugh may be in trouble. If the NCAA finds violations will that impact Harbaugh saying he is staying at Michigan?
Seeing that you can pay guys up front, poach guys from other teams, basically do anything in this Wild West era it boggles the mind that there are any violations worth pursuing.
