Look what we get to look forward to: Frank, Bronson, Gasser, Dekker, Dukan, Tramon, Brown leading us to another Final Four.

What does Kentucky have to look forward to: 5 more freshman.

On Wisconsin!!

I do it too. It's Traevon.

Do you think TJ's playing time will be reduced next year?  You have to get BK more playing time.

Having talent and depth is a good problem to have.  I am certain Bo will have a rotation figured out come November.

What will be nice is that Jax and Koenig on the floor together will be like UConn's dual PG, which really opens things up for the shooters. Two guys that can attack the lane will be more versatile than this year. If Dearing or Happ or whoever can develop the shooting, it'll be interesting...

Um.

Yeah, 54. Two acl surgeries and my wife took down the hoop five years ago.

My minutes are not going up.

Brust averaged 34 minutes per game.  You thought those minutes would go to Gasser, who averaged 33 minutes per game.

wow.  thanks.  I didn't know that stat was so close.  Obviously I didn't look it up, but it just seemed that Gasser  wasn't on the floor as much.

I stand corrected.  Should be fun to watch the 3 guards play for sure.

Remember Illinois last great team?  That was a 3 guard starting five offense.

Wisconsin can definitely go 3 guards a lot of the time.

The team is loaded and barring injury, to me the main ingredient is Koenig.  He demonstrated his potential in the first half of the final.

Brust, Jackson and Gasser all averaged over 30 minutes per game this year.

So yes, since they did it all year this year, I assume there is a good chance you see 3 guards on the floor together a lot next year as well.

I think the key to next year is going to be Dekker. For the first time in a while he was aggressive in the first half of the Kentucky game which got him to the free throw line. After he hit the three to put them up 7 to begin the second half he took one shot during the last 19:30 of the game and that was a good look at a three that hit the back rim. He had about the quietest 15 point game you'll see (3-4 FGs; 8-8 FTs). He could be a Michael Finley type player, but until the Kentucky game he seemed like he was playing not to make mistakes instead of playing with confidence.

Good point. Dekker and Kaminsky should adjust well to that, but Hayes might be unstoppable. He'll probably add a few pounds of muscle to his already imposing frame and already a chiseled 250. Not many guys are going to take charges from him anyway.

If they can find a way to play Dekker at the 3 instead of the 4 I think he will produce a lot more.   I would envision Hayes to be the 4 as a starter next year unless something else happens with the roster.

Two Arizona underclassmen, Aaron Gordon and  Nick Johnson, are leaving for the NBA draft. Gordon is projected as a lottery pick. What I don't understand is how Kaminsky can just dominate that game against Arizona(which has two other projected NBA draft picks) and still show up as a second rounder in NBA mock drafts next year. Kentucky, a team filled with NBA talent, devised their whole game plan to stop Kaminsky and held him in check (which opened it up for the other Badger players to get open looks or driving lanes - Brust, Dekker, Koenig, Dukan).

What else does Kaminsky have to do to get noticed by NBA scouts? I'm glad he's coming back, but if he played for Duke or North Carolina they'd be talking about him like he was the second coming.

It's always going to come down to the "big slow white guy" factor. With all of his footwork and timing and touch around the basket, he's a 7 footer that lacks athleticism overall. In college, guys like him, James Augustine, and any other tall guy lacking speed and explosiveness is going to get categorized.

But if I am Big Frank, when I work in the off season, I perfect Nowitzki. Step back, fadeway, pump fakes and off-balance runners. He can be another Dirk. He's already halfway there, IMO, and that's saying something.

Easy big fella, Dirk has scored approx 27,000 pts in the NBA, been the best player on a championship team.  Seems to me Frankie has away to go to be considered halfway to Dirk.  So far Frank is a nice college player with a good upside.

Well I'm not saying he's there, just that a 7 footer with good footwork and good shooting better pattern his game like Nowitzki if he wants to have an NBA career. Halfway there is still a long way to go...

Where does Frank lack athleticism?  He has great footwork, is a magician with the ball whether it be passing or faking on the shot, has gone coast to coast on a breakout. He has shown more this season than last, but you could see it coming even last year. About the only thing he doesn't do is get a foot over the rim on an alley oop which Bo never runs anyway.

Not disparaging him here. It's just true. He's not an explosive athlete. That doesn't mean anything more than what it says. He's agile, which means he's coordinated, has good footwork, and can do great things off balance. That's not athleticism.

athleticism

1. an active interest in sports.
2. an obsessive participation in physical activity. — athletic, adj.

The implied use of "athleticism" here is "superior athleticism". By that definition, I'd be athletic. Anyone would be. Just participating is athletic. Not exactly the same when you're comparing athletes within the fields of sport itself.

I certainly see a difference.

What I said was agility.

Agility:
noun
1. the power of moving quickly and easily; nimbleness:
exercises demanding agility.
