The son and I decided (okay, I decided) we would arrive a little earlier this year due to the security check on the way in. It went quickly since we were in line when the gates opened. The line goes faster if you pick one with a lot of guys since they don't carry purses. Well, a guy could carry a purse, not that there's anything wrong with that. But I digress. I didn't carry a purse into the game either, so it was a quick wave of the wand and we were on our way.
This was the first time we decided to eat inside. Appetizer was a Leinie's Red. All the greasy fried food doesn't even smell good to me anymore. I ended up with a turkey and avocado wrap with a hot chocolate chaser.
Forget the fancy trumpet rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner," kid. Play it so I can sing it.
Awesome how the jets flew over right at the word, "free."
The older gentleman next to me, by the end of the game, considered me a lucky charm of sorts. I told him the Packers have lost only once during my once a year pilgrimages to Lambeau (since 1996). When the Rams attempted that first field goal, I predicted a "wide right" and that's what it was.
James Jones leaped right in front of us. (We were in row 4.) When I got home I checked the DVD the hubby recorded and I think I saw my 52 jersey in the "leap" shot. But slow motion was too blurry to tell for sure.
Jordy Nelson sure can run fast.
I was not in a position to see "the finger."
We were a few rows below a large group of Vince Lombardi clones. They all wore matching fedoras and glasses, and reasonably close to mathing trench coats.
Note to Sam Shields: Don't be Darren Sharper.
Ed's pipes don't look as big this year.
As usual, a lovely day for a football game.
