Two former Packers players, Mark Tauscher and Brady Poppinga, are among 23 current and retired National Football League players scheduled to participate in the NFL Broadcast Boot Camp this year.

The camp is to be held June 18-21 at NFL Films in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey.

In its sixth year, the program provides players with training from professionals in television and radio production including tape study, editing, show preparation, radio production, control room operation, studio preparation, production meetings, field reporting and game preparation.

Each player tapes segments as a studio and game analyst. Each player is to serve as a live guest on one of the NFL Radio shows on SiriusXM.

The NFL says of the 105 players who have taken part in the camp from 2007-โ€™11, 44 "earned broadcasting jobs" as a result of the program.

Among the broadcasters who will be participating in the camp this year are James Brown of CBS Sports and Showtime, Ron Jaworski of ESPN, Curt Menefee of Fox and former NFL coach and broadcaster Dick Vermeil.

The broadcasting camp is one of the NFL programs run by former Wisconsin star defensive back Troy Vincent, who is the leagueโ€™s vice president of player engagement.
