Post-practice McCarthy: Greg Jennings out for Sunday

Greg Jennings missed last Sunday's game at Indianapolis.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy spoke to the media following Friday's final practice prior to Sunday's game in Houston. Here are some highlights from the news conference:

Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings is out for Sunday's game with his groin injury. Tight ends Jermichael Finley (shoulder) and D.J. Williams (hamstring), and defeensive tackle B.J. Raji (ankle) are all questionable.

-McCarthy feels Greg Jennings is at spot he was before he played vs. Saints. Go another 6 days before testing him again.

-Jermichael Finley and DJ Williams were on the same workout plan. Went through rehab during individual drills. Practiced second half of practice.

-BJ Raji is a little further behind.

-Ran routes with both Finley and Williams to see where they're at.

-If BJ Raji can't go, how does that change things against Arian Foster?
"BJ's definitely at the point of his career that if he's ready to go, we'll give him the opportunity to do that. We had similar preparation this week as the Seattle week and how they ran the ball."

-If one tight end gets hurt, that would be a real challenge. We've practiced with it. We're' prepared for all the different combinations. We're in a little different situation right now.

-Crabtree's week off really helped him. Jermichael's comparison is very close to Tom because their injuries are very similar.

I'd rather lose Finley for the season than lose Raji for even a single quarter. I couldn't possibly care less whether or not he's in tip top shape or languishing on IR with a blown ACL. I can't remember the last time I've disliked a Packers player this much. There have been guys I didn't like (Allen Barbre, Robert Ferguson), but this guy is just something else.
