Burnes had a real strong start today. 1 earned allowed in 7 IP, 8 SO.

The offense once again crapped the bed. And if we can’t score runs, it doesn’t matter how good the pitching is.

In the last 12 games, we’ve been outscored 71-28, and that’s with two shutouts of the Astros. Three times we’ve been shutout, and in another three games, we scored a lone run. 2.3 runs per game isn’t my going to win many games.


That adds up to a 4-8 record including blow out losses of 18-1, 12-2 and 15-1.

And the worst part, short of bringing up prospects, I don’t see how this offense is improved any time soon. Yelich is such a black hole eating up salary.
