2nd tier? Bundesliga teams have been beating up on Prem. teams the last couple of years.
Since 2000, the Bundesliga has had 7 participants in the CL final. PL has had 13...but head to head in CL is a poor measure. The real quality of the league. In the last 20 years, the Bayern has won the league 14 times. The most by a PL team in that span is 6 by ManUre.
PL is much more competitive and much more physical than any other league, which is largely why CL is a poor measure, because while teams like PSG, Bayern and Barca or RM are beating up on the sisters of the poor, they can manage their minutes much more easily than a PL club, and keep stars fresher.
Bayern doesn't spend crazy money on transfers because they don't have to. You can win that league with 2-3 stars on a squad.
