Deadline day coming and I see Weston Mckennie is now in the Prem.

Good fit for him...Juve is a goddamn clown show. Jesse Marsch will get the most out of him...tremendous set piece scorer.
Word is Tyler Adams is coveted by City to replace Joao Cancelo who got shipped off on load to Bayern...he had to be restrained from a physical altercation with Pep...straight up went after the gaffer. Good riddance.
Doubt anything gets done in the next 24 hours, but hopeful Adams finds his way to City in the summer...prem will be tremendous for him heading toward 2026.
Also word City wants Alphonso Davies...love that kid.

GHANAIAN!
Iβm not Ghana lie, thatβs awesome.
Leeds sacks Jesse Marsch...dumb move.
Now I'd have to say he's the top contender for USMNT coach.
You expect the USSF to make smart decisions?
Two good results on the CL today.
Well, other than Pavard's red card.
City go top of the Prem!ππΏππΏππΏ
City has cracks...need a refresh at certain positions. Got rid of that malcontent Cancelo...but feeling the burn of letting Zinchenko go to Arsenal. He'd be starting LB right now.
DeBruyne showing his age...World Cup really hurt his legs. John Stones being out hurts our central defense...not sure why but Laporte is in Pep's dog house. I expect him to leave in the summer like Cancelo. Same with Bernardo Silva. Clear the salary deck to make a run for Jude Bellingham.
Team isn't using Haaland as they should...unless KDB or Gundogan are in, no one can get the ball to Haaland where he likes it. Last match vs. Arse was his most complete game for City...got an assist, scored one goal, but absolutely bossed Arse defenders around. I think he won all but 1 50/50 ball.
Grealish finally living up to his contract.
They only got to the top of the EPL by violating the Financial Fair Play rules again.
RIP Son of Ghana...
We are deeply saddened by the news Christian Atsu lost his life in the devastation of the earthquakes that have hit Turkey and Syria.

Thatβs so sad. Rumors came out 2 weeks ago that he had survived so that makes this news even more shocking.
Sorry, Goalline.

Ties Messi scoring 5 goals in one CL match. Subbed him off in 63rd min.
And he's only 22... Now if he could learn to pass better (he has only five assists), he could challenge Messi.
Thereβs only one Messi. Sui generis
Messi is the GOAT, but he's had a murderer's row of assist men in his career at Barca...Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas in the golden generation of that club. Many others as well but those 3 just off the top of my head.
I didn't follow Messi early on in his career, but when he hit his mid-20's it was clear he elevated everyone around him. Haaland isn't there yet...not sure he will get there at City. He may need to go to Spain to get the kind of supporting cast he needs to reach the conversation with being a Messi.
City runs a very lean club...smallest roster in the PL by a mile because Pep says he can't keep everyone happy with a large roster. He can't even keep everyone happy with the current small roster. Good players are sitting on the bench and get tired and want to move on. He never had to deal with that at Barca. Big roster, lots of guys played, lots of guys performed.
Murderous side of the Quarterfinal draw...
City v Bayern winner plays RM v Chelsea (lets be real here, it will be RM) winner.
On the Blair Kiel side of the bracket all 3 Serie A clubs live and also Benfeces...

Oh, I agree. Haaland isn't there yet because he has not learned to elevate those around him yet. Once/if he does that, then given the favoritism that scoring is looked upon, it will put him in the conversation among the greats. Haaland's young yet.
Haaland is already great, but he is missing the one gift that the βRushmoreβ guys have. He doesnβt create things out of nothing. He needs the service.
On the other hand, given the service he is as good a finisher as the top guys. He is truly special.
Bayern being very Un-Bayern firing Nagelsmann mid-season and bringing in Tuchel...odd timing.
Well, when you hire nut jobs like Oliver Kahn what do you expect?
Probably looking to hire Nagelsmann at the end of the season. Wouldn't be the first EPL team to hire a Bayern retread, like the Financial Fair Play Cheaters hiring Guardiola.
Conte being fired was as predictable as anything I can imagine.

Heβs a pure strikerβ¦thatβs all heβs ever been, likely all he will ever be. Heβs more like Zlatan or Yaya Toure than Messi. Heβs 6β5, 200lbs and still growing. He is usually the fastest player on the field, but he will never be quickβ¦but he can use his size and speed to bully people into position to scoreβ¦and he has a crazy knack for finishing.
Heβs never going to have the on the ball skills of Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe or even Aguero for that matterβ¦but he will be the most impactful player City has ever had while heβs here.
Until Messi my favorite players were always out and out strikers like Haaland, Glenn Hoddle being the exception. Haaland is so much fun to watch.

Wrexham might offer a huge boost to soccer in the US. The traction a lower-tier team is getting is fun to see. And if Wrexham moves up next year, as they're in a position to do, it's only going to get bigger. Pretty cool.
That is one great story. All good guys.
Wrexham = AFC Richmond...the Ted Lasso effect...
Ruh-Roh...trouble in Bayern dressing room...
If only Mane had shown that kind of attacking punch on the field.
Bayern is a mess right now. Tuchel is a good manager...but it's going to take him a bit of time to get it going in the right direction. Luckily there is only one real team that will push them for the B'liga title, so he should be able to get it fixed sooner rather than later.
