I know....I was in m 40's when my wife rethought her decision and she wanted kids....
it's a bummer not being able to do when you want to do it....
but...that all being said....I wouldn't change it for the world....
As a 40 something with an 11 month old and another due in April, I'd recommend starting a bit earlier than I did. Wouldn't change it for the world though either. I'm going to use the kids as my motivation to stay in relatively good shape, and hopefully liv a good long life. I'll add that outside of dying to save someone, I can't think of a more selfless act than raising and caring for a child. The inverse is also true IMO.
