I think Deion Sanders just said on NFL network that the hit on Finley was with the shoulder. WTH?? At least I think that is what I just heard. A legal hit because it was with his shoulder.

While the hit was with the shoulder, the target was still the head. I think that is why the penalty was called. The stupid color guy kept talking about a defenseless player, but the refs never mentioned that .

I like the college rule. "Targeting" Carries an automatic ejection and replay review as well to be sure it is the right call. Can't overturn the PF but can overturn the ejection.

I would appreciate some info from you DVR'ers for a couple of things I noticed during the game today, please.
First was a Newhouse sighting on the field. Was he subbing for Barclay, or was he lined up as an extra TE? Does anybody see him for more than 1 play?
Second is 2-3 plays before Finley got hurt, somebody is hopping on one foot in the backfield after the play had ended. I could see the last number on his jersey was 8, but never saw the first number. Was this Finley? Looked like a twisted/sprained ankle injury.
