Looking for some guidance/suggestions related to travel and lodging for a Packer game. I'm planning to bring my daughter and son to either the Bills game on 9/30, or the Dolphins game on 11/11. Trying to book a hotel for one night is proving to be difficult as most hotels are requiring a two-night minimum (I need to book the second night near O'Hare for the morning flight home). Looks like I can get the one night in either Appleton or Manitowoc, but am not sure what game-day travel would be like from either of those locations. Is one better than the other, or are both challenging in terms of game-day traffic?

As a Manitowoc native who will be staying there while at the Bills game, I recommend it as a nice 45 minute drive north on game day....
As a preference a lot more to see and do in Appleton.
The drive to Lambeau from either location is fine. The drive home is, well, absolutely dreadful due to congestion.
That's why you plan for a post game tailgate party for an hour or two - let 'em get outta your way!
Four Seasons in Shawano.

I stayed here on a Saturday night for a Sunday 3P game. The Holiday Inn right at the highway. Was pretty decent and the drive up was fine. A little bit of traffic leaving town, but not as bad as I expected.
As far as a hotel near O'Hare, there are plenty of places in Rosemont, about 10 minutes away.
Did you try any motel in Chilton? About 45 minutes from Lambeau and has a Best Western along with a couple local motels.
