Obviously not in sync to the level of last year, and it would probably be unrealistic to expect similar stats. That said, I think this can be a better TEAM even if arods stats dip a little (32/12 for example) as long as the run game and top improve and the defense becomes an upper third (10-12) group.

However, he drops have to improve quickly. Jones and Finley lack concentration. I hope they get read the right act by the coaching staff. How many dropped passΓ© so far?

Thoughts?

Since the KC game last season, everyone is playing us in a two safety deep look & flooding the 8-10 yard zone with defenders to not give up the big play. SF & Chicago have LBers DB's that are better than average tacklers. We will play some teams, that although they will play the same scheme, won't have as good of players to execute it as well. In addition we have "just missed" on some big plays in our first two games that we will usually make.

I agree with all that. Plus, MM & Co. is learning how to combat this defense. I thought the passes to Benson were a positive step forward. But even there, timing and overall execution isn't very crisp yet. We may get better as the season progresses.
