Of course, the Chileans had some good chances to equalize. I'm amazed how loaded they are.

Fun game.
Bright future...and present for this German team, but Chile with their full squad, really were the dominant team.
Calling it now, Spain wins WC 2018
No way, that's an old team. Germany repeats.
Nonsense...the meat of Spain is under 30...Busquets, Costa, Alba, Azpilicueta, De Gea, Thiago, Carvajal, Isco, Morata, Alcacer.
Sure they've got some guys long in the tooth that may go along for the ride (Ramos, Silva, Iniesta), but they have some absolute ballers coming up.
If you are talking youth and tallant, no one beats France...but the Frogs just seem to find ways to cock it up. Mbappe, Dembele, Zouma, Mendy, Umtitti, Pogba, Sidibe, Lacazette, Griezmann, Kante, Sissoko...
Germany may well repeat...but I wouldn't bet on it.
Yeah, France look scary.
I have I've a long and distinguished history underestimating Spain. They are just so boring.
One prediction I can confidently make is that the UK media will overhype England and England will fail miserably again.
I probably put too much stock in Spain after 2010...thought they'd repeat in 2014. How rong I wuz.
Didn't see Portugal winning Euros either.
France is a more tallanted England...they just seem to always fall short...and they shouldn't. Belgium should be better than they are for that matter too.
Probably 2022 before Italy is a real player...by then Donnarumma should be good enough to make a difference.
Speaking of keepers...US better cap tie Jonathan Klinnsman pronto. My buddy coaches at U of Washington...sez that kid has the ability to be world class. No surprise he signed with Hertha.

I think you have that backwards. The UK press has been really hard on the English team ever since they became aware that 1966 was 50 years ago.
