Bucks up 32-17 in the second quarter. Jevon Carter has 12 points already
Miami goes on a run and ties it at 45 at the half.
Have to figure Jimmy Butler and Adebayo will kick it up a gear and separate from a Bucks team playing without 4 of their top 9 guys.
This Bucks team is starting to remind me of the Packers. Soft. Everybody missing significant time because of boo boos.
Remember when NBA players played in 80+ games a season?
Outside of his second year (stress fracture, iirc), and 1994-β95, coming back from retirement, Michael Jordan always played. Always.
His other 11 seasons in Chicago, he missed 7 total games. Eight times him played in all 82 games. Think he didnβt hurt? He got hammered mercilessly, especially early in his career. The Pistons physically beat him up in the regular season and playoffs.
Giannis will miss 7 more games before the end of the season. In the last five years, heβs missed 7, 10, 19, 10 and 15 games. 61 games, or 3/4 of a season. Heβs missed 7 this year.
I know he plays hard, and I love the guy. But he sets the tone, and if heβs taking nights off for knee soreness, it sends a signal that days off are okay. They shouldnβt be. If a guyβs hurt, put him on the IR. Otherwise, suck it up, princess. Youβre making millions. Tough it out.
Down 5 entering the 4th.
I don't think that Giannis is choosing to rest. He's being told. When you have a quarter of a billion dollars invested in a guy, you need to think long-term.
Quickly down 10 and losing contact. Nwora turnover for a layup and Nwora missed 3 leading to a 3 on the other end.
Thatβs the state of the current NBA. You have dumb scheduling like back to back which includes traveling then yeah, Iβd be protecting Giannis too in those situations.
The NBA really needs to think about how they schedule games. Back to back might be OK but it needs to be a home and home.
Finally lost contact. Down 14. Nwora can shoot, but he's one of the worst defensive players in the NBA.
I don't understand resting Giannis but then playing Holiday, Lopez, and Portis once the game is over (15 down with 4 minutes left). Get them out and let Thanasis run.
The NBA should have to βrest managementβ guys at home only. The home fans have 41 opportunities to see the stars. Miami fans have one chance, maybe bought tickets months ago to see 34.
Right, but they'd have to schedule the rest management games a year in advance because home fans sometimes buy tickets months in advance too.

They get to see the home stars 41 times a year. If they miss one they have 40 other shots to see them.
Or the NBA could quit scheduling back-to-backs where one team plays the nights before, has to travel and arrives in the middle of the night.
Right, but I live 4 hours away. I just can't jump down to Fiserv in 10 minutes to catch a game.
No Giannis again today.
I wasnβt aware ABC was running the game at noon. Why the fuck would they do this? Milwaukee was already coming off a back to back and now another game in basically 36 hours? So 3 games in basically less than 4 days. More like 3 games in 3 days when you consider travel related bullshit.
The league has to figure this out in the offseason. I donβt blame the Bucks for sitting guys like Giannis. But if Iβm the fans or the networks Iβd be pissed.
I keep hearing that the Bucks are interested in Jae Crowder. I wouldn't mind seeing that happen

Nope. Nope. Nope. At best, he's a slightly better version of Matthews. And he hasn't played since May. Maybe for a second round pick. Not for anything more than that.
