Jerry Sloan interviewed with the Bucks today. If.... he accepts the position, I'll be very upbeat about the future going forward (even if he is 71)

Do 71-year-old guys have "futures"?

Best news I've heard about the Bucks since Big Dog and Ray Allen left.
There is nobody else out there that has as much credibility. If Sloan would come and have some success, it'd be nice if he'd groom a young up&coming coach too.
Won't be easy and could fail miserably, but the guy has had success. Pretty sure Larry Sanders will be a supporter and we'd have a legitimate shot at a good defense.

Why not build 1 around Sanders, won't matter anyway with the fix the NBA has going on.
I suppose You think DRose is sitting out for his health?

And hey, at least Bo Ryan wouldn't be the oldest coach in WI anymore...
MC, c'mon, man!quote:Then this is the year to scuttle the team, lose 70 games, and get the #1 overall. With Jabari Parker and Andrew Wiggins both eligible to jump to the NBA after their freshman years in '13-'14, they represent the salvation of this franchise.

1) We know that having the worst record does not equate to having the top pick.
2) No 18 year old player can be identified as representing "the salvation of this franchise." Nor ought to be in any GM's architectural plans.
It is speculation of such a magnitude as worthy of dismissal.
How about the Bucks accept the harshness of building through the draft and we see what happens? Top pick in the lottery or no. Parker or Wiggins or someone else the "savior" or no.

Larry Drew?
Guess he won't heal then if he signs with the Bucks.quote:Originally posted by Music City:
Would rather have Harris than Jennings. He would be better defensively than either of them. Been a little banged up the last coupe years, but winning has a healing effect. He's been on some really bad teams...

The Bucks will continue to toil as an also-ran until they can acquire a transcendent player. This is the way of the NBA. If there is to be a future for the franchise, it must involve a trance dang player. Sure, you can build through the draft. But to truly contend, you have to have that one player, then build around them.
Scuttle the team, lose your ass, get a shot at these two prospects. You get to toil in NBA hell until you do... And this team needs a new arena. Only way to accomplish that is by getting a trascendant player.
good point, I think they got that player
Damn son.....that was 8 years of hate.
E-I-G-H-T
8??? Try 30+…
But a banner tends to wash all that away. 😜
wanted to revisit the thoughts here around the state of the franchise during the 2013 draft. interesting to see the rebuilding and growth of a franchise around a special player. Somethat you can do in basketball that you cant really do inthe NFL or MLB
