I said it earlier that free throw shooting would be this team's downfall and you can count this as loss number 2 that was lost at the foul line. Even though they shot horribly last night, I do think this is a decent shooting team as evidenced earlier in the season.
This team is clearly lacking talent as well. Say what you want about Bo Ryan’s teams, but the quality of player and ability to extract the most out of them was light years ahead of Gard.
If this program wants to get back to top 10 status they may need to make a move and bring in a new coach. In college b-ball so much can change with recruiting. If you can recruit well especially at the guard position you are practically assured of winning a lot of games.
It also says something when in state studs like Herro bolt because they don’t want to play at UW.
